Superb place located in the middle of the Amazon region. The premises are located in a very remote area in the Amazon region, you will realize how far you are from the cement jungle as soon as you step in the small plane which will...More
My husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon. We knew we wanted to experience the rainforest but were interested in a more remote, unique and cultural experience. After explaining our interest to representatives at the travel company Adventure Life,...More
A friend and I (both teachers in our 50's) stayed at the ecolodge in June 2012 for 5 days. Our guides were Xavier and Ewme and both were excellent. This leg of our three week trip was the highlight and that's saying something considering the...More
Ever since I read Joe Kane's book, "Savages," I had wanted to visit the Huaorani. Finding another senior citizen to travel with me, I was set. The trip met all my expectations! I sat beside the pilot in our little five-seater plane taking in the...More

We drive down from Quito with our guide some interpretation, nice breakfast a couple of strategic stops and as many stops as you would like for photos, etc to the small city of Shell from where we charter our planes to fly into Huaorani territory.
The grass landing strip is in the main community (Quehueri’ono) and the closest one to the Lodge. Basically we built the lodge in agreement and coordination with the locals away from the community to avoid mixing their ecotourism business with their day-to-day routines. Its 30-45 min downriver (we don’t use motors and the idea is after the drive and flight to reduce the speed acknowledge where you are at and arrive silently to the lodge! Its a very cool way to slow down and let your mind “digest” the journey, now you are in the middle of the Amazon and heart of Huaorani territory!

We have a special departure from the 25th to the 28th of March. Please contact us 1-888-207-8615 for more details.
All the best,
