Enjoyed our stay very much! Our guides, Daniel K and Vernado, were excellent! Rooms were very nice - don't try to wash your clothes, they won't dry! Be prepared with a warmish jacket for the 2-3 hour canoe trip there and returning in case it is windy and raining. They provide ponchos. Food is great - be sure to let...

Hi Rachel, Just dropping a quick note to say thank you for writing your review and for choosing La Selva for your Amazon tour! Yes, the Amazon can get humid at times but that’s why we’ve provided a dry box for you to put your electronics and other things to protect it from the environment. We are so glad you...

We absolutely loved our stay at the lodge. The accommodations are beautiful, the setting magical, the food excellent and the staff top-notch. A special thank you to Carlos, the hotel manager, for, among other things, arranging a tour for us off-site and to our naturalist and native guides, Daniel and Dario, who were incredibly knowledgeable, tireless, friendly and supportive. We...

My friend and I just spent 3 wonderful nights here. What a place! Beginning with the transfer and all the way through to the drop-off back at the Coca airport, everything went perfectly. Where to start? The rooms and main area are great, and fit in perfectly with the jungle and the lake. The food is incredible, and even more...

Dear Louise, We were very happy to have you with us and Rodrigo and Guido also enjoyed their time with you. You are right, they are very passionate about their profession, as all our other guides, creating a much more valuable and intimate connection with the Ecuadorian Amazon. Thank you so much for your review and we also hope we...

This type of trip is not for people who are looking for independent adventure travel. Everything is organised down to the smallest detail, from the transfer to/from the lodge to meals and daily activities. Don't get me wrong, the organisation was perfectly fine no complaints here. But if you are used to travelling and exploring the world you might get...

Thank you for your review and your comments. We are very happy you enjoyed your time at La Selva. One does have to remember that when you are visiting any part of the Amazon Rainforest there will be humidity due to the location and tropical weather. Binoculars are a must to bring because animals, unlike the Galapagos, are quite shy...

A very enjoyable adventure. accommodations are simple but attractive and comfortable; staff was attentive and accommodating; naturalist and indigenous guide super; cuisine a dining experience of taste and excellent presentation. Program is strenuous; temperature to be borne; nothing dries out; rubber boots were comfortable (much to my surprise). Bring a high beam flashlight. Great experience.

Dear reillyta, Thank you so much for your review! Your feedback is much appreciated by us and future visitors to La Selva! Yes, our rubber boots are very comfy, but here's a tip. If you don't want your socks annoying you by slipping off under your feet, bring some longer socks! We provide the boots for excursions because as you...

The lodge was very good. It was only a difference between what our german travel agency promissed and what we got, concern our promissed room. In general, we can recomand this lodge to our agricultural clients!

We were very impressed by the general level of service. The room was not the one we thought we had booked, but was nonetheless acceptable. The only complaint was the bed and mosquito net. Day 1 We were picked up from the hotel at 7.30am and driven the 40km to the airport for the 25 minute flight to Coca, a small mining town at the junction of three rivers that form the Napo River that eventually drains into the Amazon.
