A friend and I popped in for a quick bite at the Shark Bar in Warkworth. We weren't all that hungry, so we had 2 entrées - I took the seafood chowder and my friend ordered the lamb salad. Both were excellent, and good value. The pub itself was very busy on the Tuesday evening - a sure sign something...

We came into the Bridgehouse, what an amazing find. The lamb salad was expensive for a main at $29.50, but man it was worth it. Hands down that was the best lamb salad i have ever had. We finished off with dessert, these where so large that we really should have shared... But thwy just tasted too good

Driving back from the Bay of Islands and taking a short detour off the main route we stopped off in Warkworth and had this hotel recommended to us for lunch. We sat on a deck overlooking the River and enjoyed a couple of nice entree dishes and a good pint of Speights beer. The service was pleasant and the food...

We stayed at Bridgehouse Lodge for two nights (Wednesday and Thursday) as part of our self-guided tour of New Zealand. The Lodge is well located on the edge of the small town of Warkworth. Our upstairs room (there's no lift) was located to the side of Bridgehouse Lodge / bar /restaurant overlooking the small carpark and beer garden. Our room...

Fortunately we booked a table as they were busy the night we visited. Waiting staff seated us quickly and were friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and well presented. Steak cooked just right. Hubby loved his ribs and the pork was good. Desserts were yummy too!

We pulled into Warkworth one evening after a long day of driving. We were looking for dinner before hitting the motorway for the final drive into Auckland to look for our accommodation. The Shark Bar at Bridgehouse Lodge looked warm, cheerful and inviting. The staff were welcoming and the service was fast and friendly. The menu was what you would...

The bedrooms we saw had just been redecorated and were very clean. We ate in the bar and the food was and service was very good. We stayed here as we were catching the ferry over to Waiheke Island and didn't want to spend another night in Auckland. If you do this make sure you know the route to take...

Nice & clean. Average size room, very comfortable bed (told it was changed just the day before!), so that's a bonus. Good Sky channels. Were allocated room 24, which was by the road, so lots of road noise & people talking as they were walking pass on the path downstairs. Room had no A/C or fan, so had to keep...
