Stayed this motel a couple of times. It is one one of my choices now, it has backwards. Positive points: It is clean and tidy, easy to find, on one level. However, lacks bits and pieces like no fish slide to remove eggs from the pan, no receptacle in toilet as guests are requested to put sanitary items etc down...

Room not as flash as the one expected from the photo's; 'dated' would be an appropriate description. As well, the main photo is of a historic building in Clyde and misleading per the actual 1970s cinder-block building I was presented with. While it is homely I think I'd pay the extra to stay closer to historic town center and away...

Ive been spending a night a week here while on secondment from Chch. I have grown to love this little motel. It's homely, welcoming, warm and clean. I love that Janet (owner) has booked me in to same unit each week, so it has literally been a home away from home. I would not hesitate to recommend this motel to...

We were very pleased with our two bedroom accommodation at the Clyde Motel, which we booked for the food and wine festival in April. The owner was very helpful and the room was just what we needed - nothing fancy, but a clean, comfortable place to stay. It is a nice walk into town and I would definitely recommend it.

We were greeted by a very nice, friendly couple upon our arrival. We were traveling with friends and were given a nice, clean two bedroom suite that also included a full kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the shower very good. The motel is close to shops in town. Room rates are excellent.

The image accompanying this review is not the Clyde Motel. Arrived from Moeraki this day and attempted to find a motel with a vacancy in Alexandra, approximatkley 10minutes down the road. ( We spent just under 3 weeks touring the lower section of the South Island without pre booking accommodation - makes for a more exciting journey). We utilised the...

Very comfortable and clean motels. The hosts couldn't have made us more welcome. Handy position, opposite golf course. Pleasant walk to the village or a few minutes drive where are several choices of place to eat. Only a ten minute drive to Alexandra which is where the shops are. Lovely part of Central Otago and very convenient for looking round...

What a pretty little motel. I stayed at this motel in the small township of Clyde in Central Otago, in February, for 3 days and nights. Clyde is only 10 kilometres west of the larger town of Alexandra and although, in its day was quite a busy and bustling town, it now is much smaller and quieter with many homes...
