Stayed 2 nights in a 10 bed dorm in Feb '17. I had high expectations for this place on account of the BBH rating, was a little disappointed. Building is old and not very well maintained, bathroom is smelly and has a bit of an insect problem. The staff is nice enough and athmosphere was good, nice garden too, but...

We really enjoyed the peace and quiet at this backpackers hostel. It has a cosy and homey atmosphere. We stayed in a nice private room with a huge bathroom. Enjoyed the evenings on the terrace/in the garden with beautifull open views of the surroundings. The hosts give a personal touch to the service. They give you a warm and relaxed...

Stayed in the dorm and it was very cool, lots of flags on walls, eclectic bedding, furniture etc. The owner was lovely as was the young guy working for him. Didn't see upstairs to bedrooms in main house. I think it could really be improved in the from with a tidy up, doesn't have to cost much! Like clean towels,...

I only stayed for 2 nights in Buscot station but i want to share my experience. Upon arrival i had the wrong address and house so the owner Tony made the effort to pick me personally up and bring me to his place. He gave a precise, detailed and short tour in the house and all was clear. The communal...

This is without doubt the best hostel I've ever stayed at! The view from the hostel is amazing and you can hike up to the hill behind the house for an even better one. Tony, the host, is one of the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He showed us the farm and the animals. He also...

I travel through this area occasionally to visit clients and rather than stay in a motel I much prefer Buscot Station. The guests are from all over the world and Tony the host has the most incredible back catalogue of knowledge on anything you can imagine. The house is warm and comfortable and the location is just incredible. Highly recommended

The owner travelled all around the world and he now a lot! It's a welcoming place, but it's just a big house. The kitchen is small and the owner have rules for everything. It's not that easy to find and doesn't accept card. I really recommend the place for one night.

The house has got a nice living room with a fire place, piano and great dvd collection, a fully equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea, bathrooms with hot shower and a nice garden. Tony is an excellent and lovely host who has seen a lot of the world. Highly recommended!

Buscot station is located on a working Merino sheep farm outside of Omarama (which is a pretty small town). You stay in the host's home, and he is very knowledgeable about the area and well-travelled too. The garden is tended by someone who knows what he is doing, and you have good views from the farmhouse. I think many people...

Everything in this backpacker is awesome !! It s a little house between omarama and mount cook with sheep and alone in nature. Staff is very nice and friendly. Good bed in a large dorm ! We shared the living room and the garden is wonderful with a view on all the mountains!!
