We stayed for 2 nights starting 28 feb 2015 and checked out on 2 Mar 2015. We stayed at room 23 which is on ground level. This is not a shared room and has a king size bed. First thing first, future guests must understand that this is a backpackers type of accommodation so please do not expect hotel facilities...

Travelling as a group of 7 we came to the Fox Glacier Inn for dinner. The food was quite simply amazing! We did not stay at the Inn so cannot comment on the accommodation, but certainly the wait-staff and Manager in the Restaurant were friendly, welcoming and cheery. The lamb shank was the best I have ever had. Incredibly tender...

This place has gotten lazy with the constant supply of tourists wanting to stay but only limited accommodation in the immediate area. For the cost (£50-60 a night) it should at least provide wifi that works (it doesn't despite what they tell you) and rooms (the ensuite ones are just about ships cabin size) where you can shut the windows...

I was trying to make reservation month before travelling. Unfortunately there were no more rooms available in any other hotels or motels, this was the only option. I did select last available room for 3 persons with own bathroom. We were just 2, so one bed was spare. There was good privacy as access to room was through outside, bathroom...

After a long trip, we were received by a very brash and rude receptionist. Believe me, after a long travel this would be the last thing you would like to deal with. Truly, the staff are not very helpful at all. These people need to put serious thought on improving their people skills. The kitchen was also small for the...

Stayed here with a group of people and I was very pleased with the accommodation given how much we paid and the location. It was in a great location close to all the shops and activity centres. The rooms were basic but clean, you cannot expect 5* when staying that far out in the sticks! It's was perfectly adequate for...

Stumbled across the Fox Glacier Inn after a much needed break from camping. It's conveniently located just off the main street with plenty of parking, and the receptionist was friendly and easy going, offering some handy advice on trips and best times to view the glacier etc. The facilities were basic but did the job, kitchen and movie room a...

We visited this location for an evening meal. We were greeted promptly by a polite waitress and shown to our table. I had the crumbed cod and wife had the warm lamb on salad. For desert we both had the puff pastry Apple turnovers with ice cream. We really enjoyed our meals which were perfectly cooked. If we were staying longer...

This is basic backpacker accomodation that has all the standard requirements, such as a kitchen, laundry and TV room. We stayed in a private room with ensuite bath room which was basic but comfortable. The private rooms at the front have a good view of the surrounding rainforest and mountains, although I would recommend earplugs if your are sensitive to...
