The staff was friendly we stayed December 29, 2022. Our room was dirty when we arrived with trash on the floor. The couch was dirty with stains and the floor had gum on it. There were several parts of the carpet that had been cut out and replaced. Under the desk were stains. The bathroom door trim was coming away from the wall. The bathroom floor had water on it and looked moldy. The fridge had standing water in it. When I left the front desk attendant know I showed him pictures of the room and condition he just marked it down on a form but didn’t offer any compensation. We didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on the sheets with the condition of the room. We stayed in room 405. I would not recommend staying here until they fix the problems. Like I said the staff was friendly and don’t blame them but the condition of the room is not what we expect. I took pictures of the conditions and hopefully someone in management sees this review to address the issues. For the price you’re paying you should get a clean room and feel comfortable in it.…
Pleasant experience and friendly staff. The heating unit in the room a bit on the loud side, but worked very well and was easy to use. The bed was comfy but pillows a bit flat for me. Breakfast is 6-9 on weekdays and plenty of food refilled often by staff. Scrambled eggs, grits, potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, bagels cereals, yogurt, bananas, apples, oranges, OJ and apple juice, and coffee, and tea. Plenty of room in dining area. Had about 65 TV channels including the usual HBO, USA, AE, MTV, Syfy, Disney, History, various news, etc. Pool was large and warm – towels at the pool to use. Would stay there again. Get a room on the other side of the thruway for quiet.
Terrible location. I would run the other way unless you would like to bring your own towels, washcloths, toilet paper and soap. Apparently the maids are not allowed to keep towels on their cart. Even the staff were aware of the problems. The manager said she had no idea. If your staff know and said they have told you, then you should rethink being a hotel manager. A good hotel manager knows what is going on in the hotel. They know if there’s a shortage of towels. Maybe start paying attention. Also the bathroom in our room was either not cleaned or someone was in our room before we were. There was an empty roll of TP and no soap. Since it was late and I brought Clorox wipes I cleaned it. Reached out to corporate for a response and they said someone would be in touch, which never happened. They really just don’t care. I would suggest staying somewhere else!…
It is so hard to believe this is a Marriott hotel. The rooms are subpar: if you are handicap you must have a handicap accessible room. There is a small closet that has a toilet in it. Then another small bathroom with sink and shower. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the kids yelling. They place three taxes on your bill: an upcharge of 5 dollars that wasn't disclosed. Breakfast is 630-930 and when we arrived at 9am all you had were empty baskets. No bananas. Cereal empty. No yogurt. This "hotel" is so ill prepared for breakfast. It was a joke. As a loyal Marriott customer I shouldn't be charged for a breakfast that was non-existent. Macon Georgia is loaded with hotels and I definitely would recommend going elsewhere.
There were great reviews on this website and voted a top place last year (not sure how), but most reviews seemed like this was a good choice. We arrived in the lobby and it looked very nice and smelled good (I think had air freshener). We then went to elevator and got off on 2nd floor and we’re immediately hit in the face with a terrible odor. Carpet was ripped and stained and not clean and hallways smelled. The doors all looked like run down hotel doors. Upon entering room, besides the actual door having stains on it, the couch was filthy and the pillow on it was ripped open. There was food all over the floor and looked like someone just ate a rice dinner. The duvet covers were stained with what looked like throw up. The lamp shades were stained and there was large piles of food and dust along all of the walls. Bathroom floors weren’t cleaned as we found a toenail clipping. The sink had what looked like throw up stains on it that weren’t cleaned and the wallpaper was stained with throw up in multiple places. There was dirt on bathroom floors and looked like no one cleaned. There were also no towels in the bathroom and the ceiling tiles were stained. The bed looked clean, but again the cover along the bottom was stained. This hotel costs $160, I don’t know how. It’s only maybe worth paying $35-50. We decided to try and stay despite all of that and my husband was going to tell the desk it wasn’t clean to see how to resolve this. I let the kids swim during this, the pool tiles were dirty, the room was so hot you could barely sit inside to watch them. There were no towels and there were stains along all of the ceiling tiles. Needless to say, when my husband told them the room wasn’t cleaned or sanitized they didn’t even seem surprised or seemed concerned. We said we won’t be staying there so they were going to refund our money. So that’s even more odd that they didn’t even want to try and keep us there or clean or apologize. Look, we know everywhere right now is short staffed, but when someone says you can’t even stay in a room you think you would at least pretend to seem concerned. So we left and went to Holiday Inn Express an exit up and was amazing and we will be staying there again. Do not waste your time or money here, a complete misrepresentation of a nice hotel.…
Had a quick stop here on our drive home from Florida. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. We had a king studio which gave us a king bed separated by a privacy panel/frosted window from the pull out sofa (trundle style bed). The room had shower/sink in one room and toilet/sink in another. There was no bathtub, fyi. Nothing fancy, but, no major complaints, either. There is a good selection for the breakfast buffet in the am.
There were good and bad things about this hotel. We liked the sitting area but disliked that you couldn’t see the TV well from either there or the beds. We liked having two sinks but didn’t like that the toilet room was in the center of the room behind a loud sliding glass door that let light shine through at night. Not much privacy! I hated the mirrors that made me look awful and wide like in a funhouse. Very depressing. We liked the comfy beds and nice breakfast (they do it right in Macon). After staying in a loud hotel the night before, the quiet here was a relief. Staff were nice, but hotel was hard to find. Overall, more good than bad.
the staff were great, and pleasant. The room was a king size bed. There are two bathrooms(toilet/small sink), the other was a shower/full sink). No ventilation fan and slide barn door style. If you prefer more privacy the shower door is glass and directly across from bed. My secure door latch did not work and I was immediately given another room, however the mini fridge did not work, but because this was a over night trip it did not matter. the room was spacious, but facing the highway side is noisy. Easy access to I75, nearby shopping and eateries. The bed and pillows were comfortable. lighted parking. Thank you again Springhill staff!
Very clean and nice hotel with a fantastic staff. A good selection of restaurants are within a few miles and a shopping for those forgotten items is very close. Only negative would be it took a long time for the room AC to cool the room, and the little refrigerator doesn't get cold enough to keep anything cold. We would stay again.
I arrived prior to check in time at around 2:00pm when I waited for a front desk clerk to come out from the office to greet me. In fact she did not come out until a housekeeper yelled to the individual in the back to state there is a guest at the desk. I realized I was there prior to check in time, but inquired if a room was available. She stated no and one will be available in about an hour when I confirmed one would be available in an hour and she reacted to state “that is what I said” in a rude manner. When I arrived at 7:00pm there was not a room clean and available, in fact several guest were behind me trying to check in as well. The front desk clerk, a gentleman, who I must say was very kind with the cards he was dealt had to leave the desk to find a clean room. When he returned about 10 minutes later he apologized and checked me into a clean room. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. I chose this property because my parents frequent the area and stay at this hotel, so I took their recommendation. Unfortunately they dropped the ball with customer service.…
