We had a few issues with checking in, our room wasn’t quite ready. The young lady was just mopping the floor. When we went into the room, the cleaning solution odor was super strong, and we couldn’t tolerate it. We turned on the bathroom exhaust and went to eat, and came back, but it was still very strong. The front desk lady Laquita was super nice, got us another room and let us check it out- it was fine, so we just moved our things there. Our only issues were one side table lamp didn’t work and was very dark making it impossible to read any magazines or newspapers, so I just used my tablet. Our app worked for our door and inside it only controlled the tv, none of the lamps or thermostat would connect. The thermostat screen temperature didn’t have the right side digit, but worked fine. The breakfast was common bread items-bagels, cereal, pancakes, boiled eggs, scrambled (looked like the powdered version) eggs and bacon. Only hot water, tea bags and regular coffee, which was very good. We would stay here again, but there were few restaurants nearby (we tried Shane’s BBQ Shack-horrible food, but sweet people working) other than a fine dining Italian restaurant. When we left, we saw there were many restaurants at the next exit South on Hwy 75.…
We had a great overnight stay. Hotel had just opened recently. The room reminded me of an IKEA room or College Dorm. Shower did not have much water pressure. Warm breakfast in the morning. Staff was friendly and accommodating
I was in town for a boxing tournament. I traveled by car from Washington DC to Macon. Very great experience thanks to the front desk agent Porsha. She was very helpful with my entire stay and I will definitely be back because of her.
Great experience at this fresh and modern hotel. No carpet in rooms. Plenty of USB ports. Great breakfast well stocked with several choices. Staff was friendliest I’ve encountered in long time. Pet friendly.
We stayed the night on a road trip to Florida. The rooms we modern with all of the convenience. A big TV, black out blinds, Comfortable bed and lots of places to charge our electronics. Check-in was quick. Breakfast was good. The staff was all very polite. I would recommend it.
Best concept ever. Love the welcoming main area like a community centre, best confortable bed, friendly staff, very clean, it’s a refreshing look inside out, this is a perfect place to sleep and feel like home, big breakfast and so much more. The price is very reasonable. Thank you Merci
The gentleman at the desk was wonderful, there was debris on the floor of the room no soap in the bathroom and the tv did not work properly. The woman running the breakfast was the rudest person that I have ever encountered working in hospitality. We had stayed in a Tru in Monroe Michigan at the beginning of our trip and it was wonderful, that is why we looked for a Tru to stay at on the way home. As I said both gentleman checking us in and out were great and the room itself was nice
Love, love, love this Tru by Hilton hotel! It is such a great stop for an overnight stay. We travel frequently from Indiana to Florida and usually stay at Marriott branded hotels because we have been rewards members for years. Unfortunately it seems most of the places we’ve stayed have been in dire need of a refresh, so we decided to try something different. We found this gem, newly opened about a year ago. We stayed in a king bed room. Yes, the room was a tad smaller than other hotel rooms I’ve stayed in, but the use of space was SO efficient! Great lighting; 52” TV; walk-in shower; blackout blinds were awesome; and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I can’t comment on the breakfast because we slept in and missed it. (Did I mention how great the bed was???) The hotel has a very modern vibe, and the lobby is very inviting. There’s even a pool table! Staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return!…
Floors needed cleaned better. There were no wash clothes and needed more bath towels.nice sized rooms nice shower. Great breakfast and clean. I would visit again. The people were very nice and friendly.
The TRU hotel was ok. Certainly not what I would expect from a Hilton property. It’s a new property which was a positive. But cheap and won’t last. The staff was nice and friendly. Rooms are small. Even with a king bed my husband and I couldn’t move freely. Toiletries are a joke. Tubes of soap, shampoo, etc attached to the wall. Great if you don’t have arthritis. When I need soap my husband had to come in and squeeze the tubes for me. Not a very pleasant stay. Fortunately it was one night. Won’t be booking a TRU property again.
