I called the hotel hours after we checked out to tell them I left my sweater in the fitness room. They located it and instructed me to send them a mailing label and they would send the sweater. I sent the mailing label a few days later at a cost of $9.20 and heard nothing. I called to ask if they had shipped the sweater. Turns out they "can't locate the sweater." The sweater that the woman described to me over the phone they now cannot locate. They instituted a lost and found investigation but Marriott's policy is "too bad, Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member" we don't owe you jack! Word. Hope someone is enjoying my birthday gift!!

We've stayed at this Courtyard multiple times. It's in a great location for one night stopovers, and right off the exit. The area is safe, and there are plenty of food options nearby as long as you don't mind dining at chain restaurants. Service overall is efficient and friendly. The bed is comfortable with clean linens and plenty of grassy areas for walking your pooch. The only downside of staying here is maintenance and cleanliness. The hotel itself is pretty beat up. We request the same room, our last two visits were only one week apart, so we know these are long term issues, not one off. The furniture in our room marred, with chunks out of the wood. The door lock doesn't work properly both times. We finally learned the secret jiggle, push , push, handle turn, then pull back, before pushing open the door combination. We reported this on our visit, and a week later, and probably several housekeepers later, it was still not working. Given the condition of the room, cleanliness is even more important. Here the hotel also stumbles even though charging extra fees for deep cleaning after a pet stays in the room. We found dust buildup and human hair in the tub and sink. The vents caked with dust as well. On the website the dog fee is 65 dollars however they actually charge 125. Needless to say a lot improvements and a deep cleaning needed. no one is wearing a mask or social distancing enforce.

i choose this inn because it seemed to be away from the downtown area and it was, how ever there were store and restaurants less than 1/2 mile away, check in was a breeze, the staff was friendly and they went out of their way to assist, thank you guys

From the moment of check in with Emily at the front desk, what a great experience! She was informative, willing to make recommendations for dinner in the area and very patient during a trying time (phone call with what seemed to be an unreasonable person on the other end). Room is clean, bed is comfortable, Property is well-maintained.

Despite being a Category 2 hotel, this Marriott property definitely meets and excels in the standards set by the Marriott brand. Great, welcoming staff; rooms were clean; breakfast offered at the hotel's bistro was great. Hotel Staff: Understandably, the hotel and hospitality industry has been hit hard due to the pandemic, but I still look forward to great service from hotel employees despite all the struggles and setbacks, and I definitely was not disappointed. Upon check-in, I was immediately greeted and recognized for being a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott, which I always appreciate. The Marriott Bonvoy app was correct that the welcome gift of choice for Platinum Elites (and higher) was still being offered, whether that be the $10 per day food and beverage credit for you and a +1, or 500 points per stay. I chose the food and beverage credit as most Marriott hotels tend to offer points only as of late, so the welcome amenity choice was a nice surprise. Housekeeping: My room was definitely clean. I was even more pleased to see that the in-room coffee maker, coffee filters, and disposable cups were still present in my room as most Marriott properties have done away with the in-room amenity due to Covid. But honestly, if the coffee maker is cleaned (which it definitely looked clean and clear of any dirt or grime) and everything is disposable, then I don't see why they can't be included in all hotel rooms. The only critique I would give is that my room was missing the complimentary mini-pack of antibacterial wipes as well as hand soap, but I improvised and just used the body wash dispenser in the bathroom as hand soap as a substitute. There was also a rust stain near the toilet, but it seemed more like just an eyesore and not so much as an indication that it was dirty. Overall, my room was spic and span clean, no major complaints, just very satisfied. Amenities: Their pool was closed, but it seemed their workout room (with only cardio machines) was available for use as long as you informed the front desk beforehand and let them know when you were done so they could clean the area. There was also a business center in the lobby, but I did not use any of the hotel's amenities. In-hotel restaurant/bistro: For my $10 food and beverage credit, I opted to use it for mainly breakfast in the morning. Actually, the bistro at this Courtyard was only open for breakfast. I was very pleased with their healthy egg white breakfast sandwich and being able to get Starbucks coffee with it. I was definitely glad about the egg white breakfast sandwich as an option as I workout often and I do like it when hotels and restaurants offer high protein foods/meals. A yogurt also came with my breakfast sandwich as well. I probably only had to pay a dollar or two extra after using up my $10 credit, and being able to use the credit per day turned out to be a great deal in the end. Overall: The Courtyard by Marriott Macon definitely earned a 5-star rating. The staff at this hotel has definitely won me over with their professionalism and winning attitudes. I would say my experience at this Courtyard is pretty much the same experience I would have gotten pre-pandemic. The fact that they were able to pull out the right stops as a Marriott property, despite an economic slowdown, shows how much they care about their business, and it definitely shows.
