Our room was clean, but the tub/shower combination didn't feel safe (no grab bars or tub mat). Entry lobbies and hall carpet was dirty and need replacing or good cleaning. Breakfast was fine, but avoid the lounge -- place has gone downhill in the years since we started going there. Location is good, but buildings need updating.

Of the choices in Port Angeles, this one was central to the older part of town and near the water. The room was showing signs of heavy use and the facilities were not top of the line but the overall quality was better than average.

Several hotel chains offer similar facilities, but what distinguishes the Red Lion at Port Angels are the exceptional hotel staff. Across the board they are friendly and helpful, and really make you feel welcome. They also have great local knowledge and will direct you to the scenic places in the surrounding region. I've stayed here in over half a dozen...

Restaurant Mgr. wouldn't accommodate a reasonable request to be relocated when we had children and there was a convention of transgender men, old guys all in dresses freaking out my children... Hot tub next to dumpster, front desk could not accommodate arrangements made with RL Reservations...

We stayed here because we were taking the ferry to Victoria the next day. It was very convenient. They also ha an onsite laundry that was reasonably priced and convenient. The breakfast was better than most hotels that offer free breakfast.

Their check in time is late (4pm). We came in from out of town for a wedding and wanted to freshen up. Out of luck. They wouldn't even listen to my request of early check in...kept talking over me saying "we are booked for the night". The hotel is run down, feels dirty. We paid the extra money hoping that...

I come here to recharge when needed. I get a water view room and watch the water and all the ships coming and going. The chair and ottoman in the room was stained and dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. But the location is everything. Hotel staff was nice and room service was great. I love that I can bring my...

The people are very nice and helpful at the Red Lion P.A. The hotel room we stayed in had been updated, so it had some nice amenties like a fancy shower head and an electronic thermostat. Wi-Fi was pretty snappy too. The hotel itself is a little funky, with two long wings separated by stairs, and elevators only at the...
