The employees here were really nice. Apparently there was a fire and they are rebuilding parts. I went on a holiday weekend so I'm guessing the prices were higher due to this-otherwise I would say it's overpriced for what you get. My biggest complaint is that there was no hair dryer ( I called and they said one would be put in my room-after 8 hours still never appeared). Again, they said that was due to the fire. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner combination was the cheapest I have ever experienced. In seeing the town though, this was by far the nicest hotel there. The restaurant on site-EXCELLENT FOOD!
Just a quick stop while traveling through. Our dinner in the dining room was wonderful, a lovely setting and delicious food at a fair price. I think there are only two folks staying at the motel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and the winter rate was very reasonable. They did have in-room Keurig coffee but no breakfast. Being unfamiliar with the area we weren't sure about breakfast and the front desk in the evening wasn't quite sure. The McDonald's at least at this time of year did not offer any breakfast, there was a little local cafe open. We opted to stop at the local market and grab some coffee and muffins.
A great place to tube on the current river. The water was cool and comfortable even though the air temperature was close to 100. The food at the Rosecliff was excellent and the rooms at The Landing were nice and reasonable. All of the rooms have a front deck with adirondack chairs facing the river.
Great stay and very nice people. They were flying a Trump 2024 flag, which was even more endearing for us. The rooms were very clean with great views. Floating on the driver was relaxing with fantastic views. We will definitely go again and plan on staying longer!
Not a camping person, so this place exceeded my expectations for my 3 night stay here to float, hike and relax. The restaurant was pretty darn good. Our group of 8 all loved their food selections of frog legs, burgers, steaks, shrimp, salmon and salads. The rooms are clean and essential. You can definitely get by with bringing breakfast and simple lunch items, then head for dinners at the Blue Heron. The staff is amazing across the board! Everyone from the hostess and serving staff at the Blue Heron, the lodge room service maids, security staff and the floating crew and crew hands! A very friendly and cordial bunch all-around considering they probably deal with some real issues and a wide variety of personalities at this activity juncture. We are thinking about the next opportunity to come back to float, hike and relax.…
The title may be all you need to know. It was comfortable enough arrangements and a great setup for floating, but we were uncomfortable the whole time because of that flag. If you are fine with it then you will probably like it here, and other reviews give good info.
Over the years we have stayed here several times. It’s a good place to stay when you get off the river. Nothing fancy, but pretty comfortable. This time the water in the shower was only hot for a minute or two, then got cold. Water pressure was terrible and it was hard to rinse my hair. And, we thought it was inappropriate for them to fly a political flag in this politically divided time in America. Maybe they should accept the truth and move on.
Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The view of the Current River was beautiful with short (5-30 minute) access to springs along the river and conservation areas nearby. The hotel also provided convenient brunch.
I’ve been to the Rosecliff Lodge at the Landing 6-7 times, always as a group to float the Current River, and before the flood in 2017. My husband and I went midweek this week and couldn’t be more pleased with our very mini vacation. Our room was very clean and the furnishings & decor much nicer than I remember in the past. The grounds were well taken care ,all of the staff we met were very pleasant and the restaurant was very good. The long porch with chairs overlooking the river was a plus. We were shuttled up river and kayaked right back to the lodge which was very convenient. While it is more rustic lodging than a chain motel, my compliments to this independently owned property.
We stayed as a family of four (two teens) in July 2020. Our original family vacation changed due to Covid. We figured this was a more socially distant way to get away. We stayed Monday-Thursday. Much less busier than weekends I’m guessing. Our main plans were to float on the Current River of course. The location of this hotel couldn’t be beat. It is gorgeous all around! Regarding the actual accommodations- we stayed in a two bedroom room. There was a kitchenette and living room area. This being a family owned place I was not expecting five star accommodations. Still met all of our needs, with the exception of the shower. The shower head and water pressure just sucks(reason for 4 stars not 5), it was really hard to wash my hair and get the River grime truly washed off. The upside of the bathroom is it has a FAN! I can’t recall the last time I visited a hotel with a fan in the bathroom. I also wanted to note that the bedrooms each had just one outlet. You may want to throw in an extension cord if you are like us and have phones, watches and a CPAP that all need plugged in. We purchased a cord at the local Dollar General. As a family we very much enjoyed sitting on the deck that faces the Current River. The two bedroom rooms have a table and six chairs. The other rooms have Adirondack chairs with cushions. As far as breakfast, yeah it kinda stinks that they don’t have something there, we went to McDonald’s a couple mornings and tried Spring Hill Cafe another day. We really enjoyed the Lodge restaurant the Blue Heron. All the hotel staff was super nice, friendly and helpful! We needed additional towels and the ran them right up to us! The Lodge running the float business is very convenient- it’s what we were there for so having it right there worked great! So overall- manage your expectations- this isn’t a 5 star Hilton, 5 star Hilton’s don’t have to deal with dirt, sand and rocks like this hotel does! The location of this hotel is great, we traveled to Rocky Falls, Big Spring, and Johnson Shut in’s from there. Also driving the Ozark Skyline roads was cool. …
