The employees here were really nice. Apparently there was a fire and they are rebuilding parts. I went on a holiday weekend so I'm guessing the prices were higher due to this-otherwise I would say it's overpriced for what you get. My biggest complaint is that there was no hair dryer ( I called and they said one would be put in my room-after 8 hours still never appeared). Again, they said that was due to the fire. The complimentary shampoo and conditioner combination was the cheapest I have ever experienced. In seeing the town though, this was by far the nicest hotel there. The restaurant on site-EXCELLENT FOOD!

I’ve been to the Rosecliff Lodge at the Landing 6-7 times, always as a group to float the Current River, and before the flood in 2017. My husband and I went midweek this week and couldn’t be more pleased with our very mini vacation. Our room was very clean and the furnishings & decor much nicer than I remember in the past. The grounds were well taken care ,all of the staff we met were very pleasant and the restaurant was very good. The long porch with chairs overlooking the river was a plus. We were shuttled up river and kayaked right back to the lodge which was very convenient. While it is more rustic lodging than a chain motel, my compliments to this independently owned property.

Just a quick stop while traveling through. Our dinner in the dining room was wonderful, a lovely setting and delicious food at a fair price. I think there are only two folks staying at the motel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and the winter rate was very reasonable. They did have in-room Keurig coffee but no breakfast. Being unfamiliar with the area we weren't sure about breakfast and the front desk in the evening wasn't quite sure. The McDonald's at least at this time of year did not offer any breakfast, there was a little local cafe open. We opted to stop at the local market and grab some coffee and muffins.

Not a camping person, so this place exceeded my expectations for my 3 night stay here to float, hike and relax. The restaurant was pretty darn good. Our group of 8 all loved their food selections of frog legs, burgers, steaks, shrimp, salmon and salads. The rooms are clean and essential. You can definitely get by with bringing breakfast and simple lunch items, then head for dinners at the Blue Heron. The staff is amazing across the board! Everyone from the hostess and serving staff at the Blue Heron, the lodge room service maids, security staff and the floating crew and crew hands! A very friendly and cordial bunch all-around considering they probably deal with some real issues and a wide variety of personalities at this activity juncture. We are thinking about the next opportunity to come back to float, hike and relax.

A great place to tube on the current river. The water was cool and comfortable even though the air temperature was close to 100. The food at the Rosecliff was excellent and the rooms at The Landing were nice and reasonable. All of the rooms have a front deck with adirondack chairs facing the river.

Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The view of the Current River was beautiful with short (5-30 minute) access to springs along the river and conservation areas nearby. The hotel also provided convenient brunch.

The title may be all you need to know. It was comfortable enough arrangements and a great setup for floating, but we were uncomfortable the whole time because of that flag. If you are fine with it then you will probably like it here, and other reviews give good info.

Great stay and very nice people. They were flying a Trump 2024 flag, which was even more endearing for us. The rooms were very clean with great views. Floating on the driver was relaxing with fantastic views. We will definitely go again and plan on staying longer!

The owner and security guards at The Landing are out of control. They approached a member of our party around 7:00PM on a Saturday regarding a noise complaint they claim they received about us the night before. Impossible. We were all in bed prior to 10PM (quiet time is midnight), and have neighbors who can vouch for us. They claimed we were being loud at 4AM, when, in fact, it was the party on the floor above us. After that confrontation between the female security officer and the member of our party, she returned with two male security officers. They insisted we had been causing problems. In reality, we had gone to bed early the night before, floated all day, and had all gathered back at our rooms around 9PM. Half of our group was in bed due to the long day. What happened next was pure INSANITY. The security officers were verbally and physically aggressive with all members of our group. The owner then showed up, and he proceeded to act the same, if not worse, than the security officers. They actually laid their hands on multiple people in our group for no reason. Yes, words were exchanged, but no one in our group was physically threatening or aggressive to anyone. One member was thrown on a bed a handcuffed, one female and two males were STUN GUNNED, and one female was manhandled from behind and thrown to the ground by the female security officer. All over an alleged noise complaint. A NOISE COMPLAINT! I have never, ever witnessed anything like that in my entire life, and it was truly terrifying. I can't encourage you enough to spend your money elsewhere. Normally, I read reviews before visiting an establishment. My husband and his friends planned this trip, so I didn't. I couldn't regret it more. There are multiple reviews that mention the security and the owner, and just how terrible they truly are. Thank you, TripAdvisor, for being a place to leave reviews like this to warn others. If you don't believe me, read previous reviews on here, Google, and Facebook.

these people are completely nuts, they came to our cabin at 11:00 pm saying we were too loud and we told them we had gone to bed, they then said we were back talking them and they tazed and handcuffed my son. we are god fearing people and we are simply trying to protect others. this place is unreal, my riend called the cops and they came and told them to tske the cuffs off my son right now!

We stayed in the two bedroom, with a king and two fulls. Yes there was a microwave in there. I would quick call them, the front desk is super kind!
