My car had broken down on a Sunday afternoon in Van Bueren, MO and I wasn't able to get my car back until the next morning. Luckily, Big Spring Road Motel had a room to offer me for the night and the staff was SUPER friendly (as well as the townies). It was a very stressful night for me (being...

This had all the trappings of a GREAT place to stay but, fell short in many areas. This is a drive up, with a great front porch area in front of the rooms - a great place to gather and watch the rain - which is exactly what we did. There is also a pub on the property with a...

Big Springs Motel, was the worst place I have ever stayed. First...they do not allow ANY cancellations.. The room is so small you can barely turn around in it. The carpet was damp, from the refrigerator leaking, and air conditioner condensation. The 'SMELL' of cat pee, and nasty body odor is almost enough to gag you. The TV cable did...

We stopped in for the night. The room has wood everywhere, which I absolutely love. The price was very reasonable. I would have loved a coffeepot in the room but for the price I totally understand. Jim the owner was very polite and knowledgeable of the area. The lounge was very reasonable as well. We would go back for sure.

We stayed at the motel, because our motorhome was not yet in summer mode. At a rate lower than many campgrounds we got a large room with the typical amenities (incl. free Wifi). Everything was clean, there is plenty of parking, the night was quiet. and across the parking lot they run a bar with some snacks available.

Nice, clean room with a mini fridge, microwave, cable TV an interesting smell and free wifi. Stayed here one night on the way to someplace else, Its a nice area with Big Spring Park, lots of campgrounds, Cave Spring Park, and the Current River nearby. Got two rooms, each had an oder, so we went into town and got a...

This roadside motel was surprisingly comfortable, refrigerator and microwave worked, but don't expect much more than that. The carpeted floors were probably the dirtiest I've seen in a rental, and the bed sheets looked like they likely didn't get agitated enough in the wash machine as there were some hairs in the bed. The sheets smelled clean, so I figure...

This is a quirky little roadside motel with a small bar (lounge) locate across the parking lot attached to the motel office and a funny little shuttle bus parked at the motel for picking up and dropping off any "drinkers". The motel room itself was surprisingly comfortable and quiet. As for clean...well, the carpeted floors were probably the dirtiest I've...

Big Spring Road Motel is exactly what you would expect from a road side motel. Nothing extravagant but it had decent beds, clean and quiet(considering the bar was just across the way, which was convenient). It was very hot when we were there and I was worried the air conditioner wouldn't keep up but it kept the room nice and...

While looking at a picture of the Landing mistakely booked this motel thinking it was the Landing.. The only reason we stayed was we arrived at 8PM and figured might as well stay. Although the room was clean, smelled musty, bed was terrible not even a paper cup to drink a glass of water.. Our room was a duplex of...

“Try to get room number 10 or 14. They seem to be the biggest or at least to us they were. 14 has the kitchen and table, and 10 is very spacious.”

“Any of the rooms are great, they are pretty much the same. Of course there are the singles (single queen bed) and the doubles (two queen beds) and the rates are higher for the doubles (normal policy everywhere) and there are three rooms separated from the main motel and attached to the owners residence for 'extreme privacy'; ask about these, their rates are the same and you have great rooms!”
