I am trying to catch up on reviews from our travels in the past year. I decided to start with Casita Chamisa since it is one of the places that stands out in my mind. I was so sorry to read of Arnold's death in previous reviews. He was a fascinating, charming man and a very gracious host. Our condolences...

If you are looking for relaxation and friendly hosts, there is no better. We have stayed here more than once and could not phathom staying at any other. You can't put a price on hospitality. The food is extremely good. The history of this place will astound you. The enormous INDOOR pool is refreshing after a morning stroll on the...

Casita Chamisa Bed and Breakfast is OPEN! We called to see if they were still open, Arnold's grand daughter has reopened it and trying to keep it going. It was exactly the same except missing Arnold of course, he was such a neat man. The breakfasts were killer and they even made blue corn pancakes, our favorite.

Arnold unexpectedly passed away two wks ago, and the place is closed. If you miss the place I would go by while you can to pay your respects to a 'Burque institution and an amazing man in Arnold. This was the first bed and breakfast in Albuquerque, and also an amazing archaeological site. It is truly unlike any other place...

We found out about Casita Chamisa through a guide book on New Mexico and boy were we in for a treat once we arrived! Arnold warmly greeted us upon our arrival and immediately began to tell us about the history of his amazing home and land. I really must let you experience it for yourself, so I won't give away...

I want to go back there again....this is one of the most beautiful place i ever stayed. Arnold is an amazing host. Talking to him is one of the best parts of the stay. I stayed in 'The Studio' and it has a great view. The room is cozy and colorful. I could only stay for a day but I...

OMG - you gotta love this place. Stayed for four nights when traveling through New Mexico. What's to like? Got off the freeway and started traveling along the streets which led us to a feel more and more out of the city - quiet rural with canals of water running through different properties. Outside of the city but close enough...

Delightful and unusual visit for us. Many thanks to Arnold for his warm welcome, good breakfasts and many fascinating and informative anecdotes. How many B&Bs include an excellent archaeological video of an on-site dig! A peaceful location in a quiet part of this lively city.

It's been a while, yet I also wanted to join the chorus of praise (mostly) that has reaffirmed the value of CC'sa. Arnold has made this place a labor of love for many years, and unlike many places, doesn't require a two-night minimum. This institution is a vanishing resource, to be enjoyed while one can.

Staying at Casita Chamisa is worth the trip by itself. The home is beautiful and comfortable, located in what I find the most beautiful part of Albuquerque. The house is appointed with interesting local art and artifacts (each comes with a good story, if you are interested), and the history of the property is fascinating. The owner, Arnold Sergeant, will...
