Mary and Bob are very friendly hosts and very helpful with plenty of recommendations on great places to eat ( a detailed list is available for the asking.) The beds were firm and comfortable which is often not the case elsewhere. We had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was a delightfully varied assortment of tropical fruits, home-made breads and...

After tenting around the rainy Puna area, we were desperate for a place to dry off for a few days. We were able to book a room at the last minute -- the evening before we arrived. Bob and Mary offer a very warm and friendly vibe. They provided us with suggestions of restaurants and what to do in the...

They keep chickens, rooster, and geese....if you are a heavy sleeper or can turn off your hearing aid, fine....but otherwise it is too much constant racket for me.

We got a last minute room here and were very happy we did. The innkeepers were knowledgable and friendly, with advice about what to see and do. A great full breakfast was provided. There's a nice sitting area, private lanai for each room, and a view of the ocean. We'd return in a minute. The geckos visit after breakfast and...

Bob gave us a map and a book with ideas to spend our days. Also he suggested some nice restaurants. If you are a jazz-fan, you...

Stayed for 2 days upon arrival. Rooms clean, comfortable; not particularly roomy but very adequate. Enjoyed the lanai and the ocean view. Beds comfortable. Friendly & helpful hosts. Breakfast very good - fruit, breads and coffee to get started and then followed by pancakes one morning and excellent quiche the next. Especially appreciated the stash of supplies: boogie board, snorkel...

They served lots of fresh fruit and entertained us with stories and great ideas to help us enjoy our trip more. They also had...

My wife and I stayed at the Hale Ho'ola bed and breakfast for three nights from February 7-10. The rooms are located on the first floor. There are three and we stayed in the Hibiscus suite. The room was well decorated with a queen-size bed. There was a private bathroom and private deck. The deck had a table with two...

We stayed on the Big Island for 4 days on our Hawaii trip. Mary and Bob are very welcoming and helpful. Upon check-in we were given a list of all the local eateries, very helpful. Every morning we would get tips on the best way to do whatever we had planned for the day. Almost like having a personal tour...
