Hotel is close enough to park entrance. It has beautiful views of mountains and Estes Park. We were there for 5 days in Nov. and switched rooms 3x. The room type we booked was not available at checkin. We were put in a room worth less than what we paid for (just one bed). Was then moved to a decent...

I love this lodge. It is truly like stepping back in time without giving up modern conveniences. The room key was actually a key! The lounge area has a great family atmosphere that include puzzles, board games and a pool table. You can watch movies in the area or have a drink at the bar. The staff seem like family...

The hotel has a wonderful charm that makes you feel like your in another time period. The staff are so nice. We love our kitchenette and the studio was perfect for two people..although I couldn't imagine more than that.. it is cozy. The restaurant burger was good. The only complaint is in the office season there is no transpiration unless...

We have stayed here twice and it never disappoints. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was amazing, very cleaned, and breath taking views. Bed was comfortable and loved the kitchenet. The Wi-Fi service worked great and had no problems with cell phone service.

Just 1 night, early-March / off-season. Checked in late, after dark and it was VERY difficult to find the road up the mountain, even with gps - TIP: If unfamiliar with Estes Park, find it during daylight; much easier. Anyway, it was big, quiet, a little creepy, but, also a little cool because you could tell it was a place...

Spent 3 nights to meet up with a buddy in early March to go hiking. Located about 2 minutes from downtown Estes Park and 6 minutes to Rocky Mountain National Park Beaver Meadow visitor center. Grocery store (Safeway) 5 minutes away. My 1-bedroom accommodation had a great view of Lumpy Ridge mountain range. Got a great price for room on...

We stayed here for a few days March of 2017. We love the views! The staff are very friendly. The View restaurant was delicious! I had the filet - it was perfect ❤ The grounds are the perfect setting for the Rockies - wooded with beautiful views. We will certainly stay here again in the future 😊

We loved the lodge. It was everything we hoped in terms of rustic, comfortable mountain experience. The room's amenities were above and beyond with the full kitchenette, including a stove, fridge, and microwave. It was quite cozy - the studio is a perfect size for two people. I can't speak highly enough of the staff. They were very helpful and...

We spent last weekend at The Historic Crags Hotel in Estes Park. We were on the second floor in a small one bedroom. We experienced some noise from the guests above us and were quickly upgraded to a beautiful room on the 3rd floor. The rooms have been remodeled beautifully with all the modern amenities. The hot tub was a...

Two of us stayed for one night in February 2017 in a studio room. It was immaculately clean and we appreciated having the burners and teapot for boiling water and the refrigerator for storing perishables for lunch the next day. The bathroom was roomy with a claw foot tub/shower. Great view of Estes Park and lots of privacy. The room...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The lodge is ideally located in the heart of Estes Park on the north side of Prospect Mountain and only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Breathtaking mountain views surround you making this the prefect location for your mountain wedding. The landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park is the steepest in the United States. Sixty mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high result in world-renown scenery and provide challenges for hikers and climbers. The extreme topography creates an amazing range of ecological zones within a short distance, similar to the changes that would be seen in a drive from Denver to northern Alaska. ... more   less
