This is Diamond Resort property although we are not timeshare owners (no timeshare staff in the vicinity to worry about. Check in was a bit slow but this is a historic property on the Dept of the Interior's Historic Register and it is run in a little more quiet and casual manner than most resort properties and without much staff....

We stayed here 2 nights in late September 2016 to attend a wedding. Our room had a sitting room, bathroom, bedroom. All the rooms were small and 2 people moving around was tight. Because the bedroom was so small, we didn't have room for 2 large suitcases and 1 small one. Therefore we had to keep one big suitcase in...

We arrived at Estes Park late in the evening. Part of the problem was we had to take a long detour way up north on our way from Steamboat Springs as the Trail Ridge Road was closed due to weather. It was dark when we arrived so we didn't get to walk the property grounds or admire any views. A...

We came up for my wife's birthday. We had a studio reservered but because of the special occasion I was upgraded to a one bedroom overlooking downtown. This is not a five star resort so down expect it. It is clean and well maintained and the staff was very pleasant. The property is a hundred years old that has been up...

We stayed at this Resort 30 years ago when it first was being renovated and wanted to see if it was what we remembered...what a wonderful surprise. As we walked into the grand entrance area, we saw the original leaded glass windows, that we so admired long ago that looked out over the valley and The Stanley Hotel. Our suite...

We had a terrific meal! I had the duck, the empanadas, and the chocolate brûlée dessert. Enjoyed everything. The history of the resort is very interesting. All the employees were very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend the restaurant for dinner. Also found pricing reasonable.

I ahve been staying at the crags for over 10 years now. Over the years, some of the bathrooms have been updated but the rooms in general seem to be needing updating. The main lobby/restaurant area is beautiful. Stay inside the lodge if you can. If you get there early, parking is no problem.. If you get there late, its...

Traveling over 1,200 miles for a family member wedding was no easy feat but it was so worth it when we arrived at the beautiful lodge. Our "room" / suite was gorgeous and so comfortable for our 4 day stay. The staff was extremely helpful with all of the wedding arrangements and either every day needs. We would and will...

My wife and I went to visit Rocky Mountain national Park and desired a rustic place near to the entrance with the feel of old days! We found it here. If you want modern this is not the place, if you want comfort, friendly staff and great views, this is the spot!!!! From the originally furnished lobby to the esoteric...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The lodge is ideally located in the heart of Estes Park on the north side of Prospect Mountain and only minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Breathtaking mountain views surround you making this the prefect location for your mountain wedding. The landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park is the steepest in the United States. Sixty mountain peaks over 12,000 feet high result in world-renown scenery and provide challenges for hikers and climbers. The extreme topography creates an amazing range of ecological zones within a short distance, similar to the changes that would be seen in a drive from Denver to northern Alaska. ... more   less
