We stayed in a 2 bedroom condominium located behind the hotel and were very pleased with the space and comfort of the condos. We could walk to the main building and the staff were very accommodating. The hotel is also located near the Rocky Mountain National park and we could easily drive back and forth to the park.

"Old Uncle Stanley, whose fingernails and white hair are way overdue for a trim and whose shirt is speckled with holes left by the hot ash of his favorite cigar, burps as he eats his breakfast toast and slowly reads the morning paper." Similarly, the Stanley Hotel doesn't seem to care anymore. There's a long line of tourists eager to...

Though only an hour away from our home, we decided to make Estes Park the "getaway" for our Thanksgiving this year. In researching best Thanksgiving dinner options, we came across the buffet at The Stanley and knew this was the fit for us. We were able to book a seating for the dinner and then booked a condo at The...

We stayed here during the Elk rut and found it to be charming, comfortable and friendly despite the buzz and over-hype that led us to approach it with minimized expectations. In truth, the Stanley lives up to the historic name and continues to provide premium lodging, outstanding location, and luxurious amenities to the Rocky Mountain traveler. The tours we a...

Husband, son, his girlfriend and I stayed in a 1-bedroom condo on the hill above the hotel. Beautiful condo, beautifully furnished. It was very comfortable for 4 of us even though the twenty-somethings had to sleep on the sofa bed. Wished we could have stayed longer, but it was at the top of our price range--$300 a night. Lots of...

We stayed three nights in a 3 bedroom condo on the Stanley Hotel property. I know they are all individually owned and decorated but Number 322 was really nice, very roomy with two living rooms, three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two fold out couches. There was plenty of room for two couples and our four teenage boys. The kitchen...

This is my second stay at the Stanley. Last year, we stayed in the main building of the hotel. There are three main areas to stay at the hotel, the main building, the Lodge, and the condos located behind the main building up the hill. This year we decided to stay in the Overview Condo's instead of the regular hotel...

The Stanley Hotel is in a nice location in Estes Park - walking distance to Main street with great views of the mountains in RMNP. The Overlook Condos are located right behind the hotel. They are privately owned but managed by the hotel. The condos are spacious alternatives for a family stay but there is no consistency in the decor...

I always wanted to stay here because I love the book, The Shining. Actually, I found that what I enjoyed the most was the beautiful setting, old time luxury, and the history of the hotel. Guests are treated very well. There are tours, but they didn't bother us.

We stayed in one of the condos above The Stanley Hotel for several days in July. I think the location is very good - close enough to everything you would want to do in Estes but far enough from the fray to afford a quiet night's sleep. There was no air conditioning in our unit - I don't know if...
