Wonderful views from our lakeside room. The walk around the lake was beautiful during sunset and sunrise. Room service was great and the staff was very helpful. I would recommend this for a couples getaway weddings and just a nice vacation by yourself

Loved the proximity to the city of Estes Park. The lake frontage and access to the walking path was great. Would have like a few more options for dinner at the resort, however the happy hour was perfect for what we were looking for. Would definitely stay there again. Accommodations were adequate for our needs. The staff was very friendly snd welcoming!

A long-time coming vacation to the Rocky Mountains. We made an online reservation for 3 nights at the Estes Park Resort in May 2023. We selected a Garden View room, which was also verified by the check-in person. We were told it was on the first floor. Strangely, it was on a lower floor, more like a basement/cave, we took the elevator down. Walking into the room and across to the opposite side of the room, a 3-foot-high short curtain was displayed. Upon opening the curtains, we saw a 3-foot wide concrete and gravel space at waist level with 1 spindly 3 foot tree (this is a garden view we paid extra for?). Looking upward, our window was right outside of the main entrance, so we NEVER could open the curtains for any daylight, as people/vendors entering and leaving the facility could look right DOWN into our room. Strangely, the bathroom sink was in the bedroom itself, not the bathroom. We were astonished as to the height of the sink. It was built for a dwarf. I’m six feet tall. This was laughable and annoying. We asked the front desk if we needed dinner reservation at Dunraven restaurant, we were told NO. The person said we are only at 70% capacity, there should not be an issue. When arriving for dinner that night, the host told us we needed to have a reservation. So, we had to have dinner before a certain time. Sadly, we felt rushed and did not enjoy dinner at all. The hostess was quite rude and said “we are separate from the hotel and most guests are from the valley” I guess if you are a guest of the resort, you are second fiddle. Going forward, your employees at the front desk need to encourage guests to make a restaurant reservation. Besides the location, we cannot make a recommendation to stay there.

We recently stayed for a few nights while we were in Colorado. The lake view rooms have a stunning view. Although the front desk staff were very friendly, we found the accommodations disappointing. How nice it would have been to be offered a cold bottle of water or a cup of coffee after our travels! We were given our room information and directions to the third floor only to find that our key did not work! The resort seems outdated and musty -in need of renovations. The windows were cloudy and needed cleaning. The screen door was jammed and difficult to open. The mattress needs replacement as it was not comfortable at all. We passed room service dishes in the hallway in the morning and still there in the evening, so we chose not to dine in the restaurant. The spa was “ booked up” although the hotel was far from full. We agreed to pass on another visit to the resort.

Great resort in Estes Park. Our number one place to stay. Comfortable and clean rooms. Nice bar and restaurant for breakfast through dinner. Beautiful scenery by lake to walk, jog or just take in scenery

The hotel was old, it really needs renovation. Hallways are dirty, rooms are dirty. Plates and glasses from room service sat in front of rooms throughout the day. They do not clean rooms, refresh towels or empty garbage in guest rooms unless asked. The restaurant is very old, the food is subpar, the coffee is terribly weak. Even the bartender would not recommend one dish on the menu and that pretty much says it all for the food. The bed was lumpy and old, sinks are right next to the bed! I would bet the carpet and upholstery in the rooms (including the couch) have not been cleaned in the past few years. The whole hotel smells like a cooked steak (and not on charcoal, it was a foul smell). I would not recommend this property at all. The kicker is that for 3 nights, one dinner for 2 people, our total came to $880. Yikes!

We had a great stay, the room was well appointed, the views are gorgeous, even if you don’t get a lakeside view. I had several special requests for the hotel staff as I was proposing to my now fiancée and the staff handled each request impeccably!! The spa and restaurant on site made our stay smooth and easy! Can’t wait to come back!

While the setting was nice and the staff very professional, the accommodations were lacking. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday. Our room was extremely worn (tear in carpet, etc) but it was clean. Unfortunately, we were not told they were doing construction in the room right next ours which woke us at about 0830 on Saturday (the day we planned to sleep in). We notified the front desk who said they were sorry and would take down a note to pass on. While we made the most of our stay, the accommodations were lacking. After a full reno we may try this place again, but not before it is complete.

We had a fun time enjoying meals and visiting with family as we were attending a cousin’s wedding nearby. We had a “garden room” which would be better named a “basement room”. It was very dark and we opened our curtains to a view of dirt and air conditioners. Next time I’d pay the extra money to actually have a view because we had family that had great views of the mountains. Live and learn. The restaurant closes early, wished it could have stayed open a tad later. Other than that people were kind.

Wonderful location (on lake Estes, can walk right onto the lake path; Marina and mountain shop are a short walking distance). While the room was not very large or "high end", it was comfortable and clean, with a great view of the lake. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
