Travellers' Choice
The Ponderosa Lodge is nestled right up on the banks of charming Fall River and has one of the best locations in Estes Park. Located in a small valley with Aspen trees and gorgeous views, you'll feel like you're in a secluded mountain getaway, and yet the shops and dining of Estes Park are only 5 minutes in one direction while the less crowded back entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is 5 minutes in the other. Amenities include a hot tub, outdoor barbecue, children's playground, inviting riverside lawn and patio, warm cookies upon arrival, and of course, free WiFi. All rooms contain a gas or electric fireplace, coffee maker, and microwave, some contain kitchenettes. Larger groups can book multiple rooms with adjoining doors. If we are booked, please consider our sister property the 4 Seasons Inn on Fall River!

Very clean and nice room a little small. Room did have a wood burning fireplace. Location of the lodge was on the river/stream. Easy to find even with road construction. We would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the stay. Liked the proprietor (and Aspen the dog who is super chill [in case you don't like dogs]). Clean. Fridge, sink, dishes, and table for four. Balcony by the stream. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I had a great time. The place was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The view of the little river outside was pretty and I vastly enjoyed the sound of it while sleeping! We could ossacionally hear the people next door, but it wasn't anything out of the orfinary from my stays at other places.

This was a great spot to have a friend's getaway. Close to everything in Estes, but tucked it among the trees and on the river. The hosts were welcoming. The room had a lovely wood burning fireplace and made our stay cozy, even with the wind and snow. Would certainly recommend.

We were so pleased and content with our stay at Ponderosa lodge. The room was larger than expected, the hot tub a plus. Thoughtful touches like having towels right by the hot tub, fresh cookies in the office, a lovely dog Aspen, firewood ready in the fireplace, and swing chairs on the porch. This stay was our favorite of an 18 day trip. Elk visiting a plus.

Highly recommended! Truly loved the riverside cabin. Estes park has the friendliest people to begin with, and finding a place that fits the rest of the stay really makes it’s all worth the while. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality my husband, daughter and I are already planning for our next visit at the end of the year!! Much appreciated!

I really enjoyed staying here. It has a cozy cabin feel. The linens and bathroom were clean. There was also a small fridge and coffee & creamer with coffee maker in the room. My room had a sliding door that lead to the deck ( with tables) that is right on the water! So peaceful and beautiful! I’m planning on staying here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Ponderosa Lodge in December. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated in woodland decor. We enjoyed the fireplace and there were multiple options for watching something on TV including Netflix. It was a nice view and we liked that it was outside of Estes Park a few minutes but still within 5-10 minutes of restaurants and shopping.

We stayed in the Ponderosa Room over Christmas weekend. It couldn't have been more perfect. Only 5 minutes from downtown Estes. Private hot tub, wood burning fire place, and they decorated the room for the holidays. Would highly recommend!

Ponderosa Lodge was fantastic. Staff was super helpful. We stayed in room on main floor and enjoyed the sound of the river. The fireplace great, we used every night. I would recommend staying here. They are very close to rocky mountain park and downtown. Katie was so helpful and friendly. Thank you
