The Stanley is known for "The Shining" though the movie wasn't filmed there. But it is a grand hotel from a time long ago. It is elegant, well appointed, and historic. Our room was in The Lodge next door to the main hotel building. We took a tour of the grounds, which was very informative and well rehearsed by our... More

My husband and I stayed at the Stanley Hotel recently for a weekend to visit the Rocky Mountain National Park. The location is great. The hotel is very near the National Park and has wonderful mountain views from the front porch. The lobby is beautiful with welcoming puffy chairs and fires burning. However the room itself was quite small and... More

This piece of history is so stunning! The detail that Stanley put into this Hotel is beyond compare. We have been here several times on the Ghost Tour (so interesting, you learn the history of this beautiful place too). We stayed here one night and it was so much fun! We went in January so snow, cold weather! We ordered... More

The Stanley is our highlight hotel during our recent three week exploration of National Parks and famous points of interest in the Great State of Colorado. It is the standard by which all historical luxury hotels should be measured. The staff are friendly and worldly, many arriving from points around the globe. Our room was stunning in every way and... I stayed at The Stanley for a work conference, but spent a couple of personal days there on my own. On the outside, it's beautiful and the views are great. There are lots of elk roaming around, and it's close to the park if you are looking to hike. It is a historic hotel, so if you are looking for... More

We only stayed one night, but it was a great experience. We came because of the history and ghost tour, but loved it all. Our room was on the 4th floor, it happened to be an unusually warm day but each room has an oscillating fan and a ceiling fan, which made it comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean,... More

We stayed for one night so that we could spend two days hiking in the RMNP and we wished we would have stayed longer! The service was great, the room was a little smaller than we are used to but it was very cozy and ended up being perfect! We will be back next year!

This is a beautiful hotel!! The entire facility was extremely clean and well maintained. Truly amazing for a hotel that is over 100 years old. Make sure to check out the front porch area. The views are amazing. Very friendly and capable staff. We will be back for sure.

We loved staying at this beautiful old hotel. Our suite was spacious and comfortable complete with a mini kitchen and a washer/dryer! Staff was warm and very helpful. We had booked one of the Ghost Tours and enjoyed listening to our knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Estes Park shopping and restaurants are just minutes away. We enjoyed our visit!

I stayed here in October 2015 with my team, we had a small corporate group for a short stay a few days before Halloween. It made for an interesting experience. Excellent venue for a meeting, the meeting rooms are very unique to say the least, incredible views and the service was outstanding. Check out the Ghost of Mr. Stanley in... More
