Went to the whisky bar and apparently it's one of the best in the country. Whisky from $5 to $700 a glass. Great staff and literally hundreds of whiskys. I didn't know what I wanted and the bar tender gave me some great suggestions and I ended up with a great drink.

The grounds of this historic hotel are beautiful and we had a nice view from our room. But it was a very small room on the top floor with sloped ceilings like a dormer room. I am not tall -- around 5'3" but I kept bumping my head when I got out of bed. Even though it was late September...

Stayed here for a conference. As always, clean and fun to visit. An amazing blend of history and modern convenience. Clean and comfy beds. My only complaint is the cost of food in the restaurant. I had never had a $16 cheeseburger before! Overall, I can recommend this hotel for those wanting a pleasant change from the typical chain hotel.

As much as I genuinely enjoyed staying at this historic hotel, it probably wasn't worth the money ( around $380 AUD for one night ). You can tour the hotel yourself as well as attending one of the many ghost tours on offer without actually staying here. I was a bit disappointed as we drove up to the hotel, as...

There are two reasons to stay at the Stanley Hotel. First, there is the connection to The Shining by Stephen King. Who doesn't love a good ghost story? This is where his inspiration came from though not where Kubrick's filmed it. The tour fills you in on the history of the hotel and its owner, King's experiences there, and a...

A amazing experience that we will remember forever! We went Halloween weekend. The Stanley throws one heck of a Halloween Masquerade Ball and Shinning Ball. Tickets are a little $$ but worth it. If you want to book room 217 for Halloween night they told us that 217 is booked already for 12 years. We had to book our regular...

This was our first time visiting the Stanley. I heard a little bit about the Shining connection but we were really interested in the beauty of this hotel. Before arriving searched for the best price possible and after a few weeks found a reasonable price for this historic hotel, so upon arriving, I knew I was not going to be...

we intended this to be a once in a lifetime, bucket list experience, but we WILL BE BACK. Beautiful property, stayed on 4th floor with Haunted Package. Even with no air condition it was very comfortable - beds were excellent/comfy. The entire staff was very accommodating and met our every need. Attended Murder Mystery Dinner (good show, but food left...

We visited in mid-October and paid extra for the “Ghost Package,” which guaranteed a room on the allegedly haunted fourth floor of the main building. We went with another couple, who had also booked the Ghost Package, so we had two rooms to compare. Though the Stanley has its own real history and charm, the hotel marketing team has certainly...

Beautiful still after 100 years. We loved our room looking back over Estes Park just above the front door. Front row seat for the grazing Elk. Celebrated my mothers 75 birthday. Front office staff was wonderful.
