I would like to live here. It does feel like someone's grandmother's house, all the old wallpaper, the antique furniture a little weathered, so comfortable and clean. It's convenient to Brown and downtown, there are always cookies when you come in, and Max is an amazingly friendly and yet not overbearing host. The breakfasts are fine and cooked to order....

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday for a special weekend getaway. We both like B&B's however we would not stay here again… We were both delighted by the location, situated in the College Hill neighborhood. Walkability to downtown and restaurants was perfect. Having free, off-street parking was a big plus making driving in for a long weekend...

A near-perfect antique B&B without antique schmaltz, run by the unpretentious host Max. Bright breakfast room, homemade granola to power your walk up the hilly mega-historic streets surrounding the place. Max is like a plainspoken dad--"Ya want some eggs? How about some pancakes? We can do that!" Value must take into account free bkfsts, wi-fi, and parking, not to mention...

A little dated, and the bathroom could have used a table for toiletries...but all the essentials were here. Welcoming staff and host, comfortable bed, quiet, for a great night's sleep, and super convenient to the great RISD museum, Brown campus... We will definitely come again.

Had a wonderful stay in this historic building near Brown where we were dropping off our freshman daughter. We had an extremely large room that could accommodate our daughter as well before she moved to the dorm. The bathroom was modern and clean with great water pressure. The rest of the building was well cared for with appropriate squeaking of...

A beautiful building in a beautiful street. We were shown a number of rooms and it was difficult to chose one which one to take, so add beautiful rooms to the list of beauty on this establishment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat, blueberry pancakes delicious Benefit Street has the occasional traffic noise, which never...

As noted in other reviews, the Old Court's location is ideal for visitors to Brown, RISD, or the RICC. Most of my fellow conference goers stayed at two of the large hotels directly across from the RICC, while I enjoyed a less-expensive, but much more personalized experience, surrounded by history, antiques, character, friendly conversation, and made-to-order breakfasts. (It's probably about...

The location, as other have noted, is ideal for those who want to be within walking distance of Brown/RISD and there are plenty of great places to eat. The staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful; breakfast was generous, if not especially memorable (ok waffle, scrambled eggs, etc.); and the baked goods that are left out for guests were...

I spent a weekend here while dropping my daughter off for a summer program at Brown University. The staff/hosts are friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable. The Inn dates from 1860, is filled with antiques, and located in a neighborhood of restored elegant 19th century homes. The Old Court is quiet, clean and comfortable. It is convenient to the amtrak station, and...

Location is great near universities and downtown but very quiet area. Parking available and free. Owner and staff are very friendly and atentive. The breakfast is one of the best we've seen. It's our second time in Old Court and we do recommend it.
