There is so much I could say about the Peacock House, yet I think the review's title says it all. This B&B is lovely, the common rooms bright and cheerful, the guest rooms are sweet and spotless, the breakfast is yummy. But, the PH is so much more than all of those. It is a special swirl of friendliness and...

The Peacock House was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. The Innkeepers, Sue and Dennis, were wonderful and gracious. They answered any questions we had. Breakfast each morning was so delicious!!

We planned a trip to Canada to see the Bay of Fundy and sights along the Acadian coast. We chose Lubec due to its' proximity to Campobello Island, and thanks to Trip Advisor picked Peacock House as our place to stay. Peacock House is pristine, beautifully decorated by owners Sue and Dennis. Several rooms downstairs are available to curl up...

Having recently returned from a trip through New England, there are two B&Bs I stayed at that have really stuck with me and Peacock House is one of them. When I first pulled up, Sue greeted me on the porch. She then proceeded to show me through the beautiful home she and husband Dennis have updated and maintained. Sue is...

We've stayed twice at the Peacock House. The hosts are very welcoming and the accommodations superb. Comfortable beds, clean and quiet rooms, and a delicious breakfast. Lubec is a charming little town and the area has much to offer.

Sue and Dennis are truly kind souls opening their beautiful B and B up and treating their guests like family. We recently stayed with them to attend a family memorial service. Sue and Dennis welcomed us weary travelers with compassion and it was truly appreciated. We have stayed with them before and will certainly do so again. Tidy, neat well...

I've been derelict in not reviewing prior to this but I generally review our dining stops. I almost hate to share the Peacock House. We have stayed there 3 times and are already booked with a stay in June of 2015. They fill up fast. The place is probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. Sue and Dennis are...

We came for one night in October. Weather was less than desirable but the accommodations were perfect. We stayed in the Margaret Chase Smith Suite. Breakfast was great! Dinner dining is somewhat limited in the are so, if driving in, you might want to stop in Machias first. A must see is the light house. Highly recommend.

I want to start off by saying that a review I read about the Peacock House originally troubled me. It stated that you had to eat with other guests, instead of alone, and the visitors didn't like that. Anyone that knows me will attest that I am not an outgoing person and I tend to stay by myself, so this...

This was our first ever B&B experience and The Peacock House has set the bar HIGH for future B&B's!! Sue and Dennis are so incredibly warm, friendly and hospitable. Our room was very cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. They let us in on area tips and recommendations that proved to be very helpful. We slept well and thoroughly enjoyed the...
