The Home Port Inn is a wonderful B&B. Everything about my 4 night stay was great. The inn is a beautifully maintained old house in an excellent location right up the street from the harbor. My room (#7) had a great ocean view. Breakfast was delicious. Couldn’t be better.

We were very pleased with our stay at The Home Port Inn B&B. We stayed in the Daughter's Room, which was clean and comfortable. The proprietor, Suzannah, made us feel very welcome and helped us select a restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was delicious blueberry french toast. The inn was very convenient for a visit to Campobello Island in Canada.

This historic home is located right in downtown Lubec. We stayed in the Garden Room, the only room with a king size bed. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bath, with a shower only, is located down the hall, but it’s a private walk and we never saw anyone while using the bath. I don’t like that inconvenience, but will give up a lot for a king-size bed. The bathroom is tiny as well, but that is what you get with a historic home. Susanna is a gracious hostess. Breakfast is a choice of Dave’s cereal or Susanna’s hot breakfast. The first day we had waffles and they were perfect. The second day we had baked eggs and a grits casserole, also good. The home is a great location for exploring Campobello Island and the area.

Spent 2 nights in this wonderfully decorated, clean and quiet inn. Suzannah the owner made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. The rooms are so comfortable we slept like babies. Breakfast was perfect. The first day we had Dave's Downeast Cereal. It was so good and we were a little surprised when Suzannah gladly gave us the recipe. We have since made it here at home. Our other breakfast was french toast casarole with blueberry sauce and sausage. We're going to have to make that next. Thank you Suzannah for making our short visit just right.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the the Inn. Lovely artwork and furnishings, comfortable bed and a delicious full breakfast with fruit dish, followed by bacon, quiche and carrot cake muffin. Good coffee, teas and hot chocolate. Restaurants close at hand. Just a few blocks from Campobello Island in New Brunswick and the Quoddy Head Light - easternmost point in the US.

The owner of this B&B has incorrectly charged me for two nights at her establishment. When I protested, she ignored me. She requires a two week notice of cancellation . . and I did cancel, by telephone. Yet, she persisted in charging me for two nights in August 2019. I advise you to steer clear of this place.

Conveniently located just a few blocks from the town's eateries and water front, this pleasant inn, run by veteran hostess Suzana, provided clean, nicely-furnished rooms and a firm matress for a good night's sleep. Suzanna always made herself available and was attentive to her guests needs, whether it be food related, answering questions about places to eat and activities nearby, or special needs at the inn. Three outdoor sitting areas are available - the garden, the patio and the side porch . Guests can gather in the oversized living room for conversation, book reading or to play a game. Suzanna is no slouch in the kithcen either. Breakfast includes coffee, tea, juice. cereal and fresh fruits along with a rotaing entree. In the 2 days we stayed, we had waffles and frittatas. I finished my wife's before she could! A fridge is also provided for guests to keep cold beverages.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at this lovely B&B. The proprietor, Suzannah, is such a charming person, and her breakfasts were delicious. She served pecan pancakes with sausage one morning, and a veggie strata with bacon and a muffin the next; fresh fruit, juice and coffee were served each day. We stayed upstairs in room #6, The Garden Room. It was very nicely decorated, and the king-size bed was comfortable. The only drawback was that this particular room has a separate, small bathroom down the hall; we worried that we might disturb the other guests during our nocturnal visits to the bathroom, but anyone who has stayed at a B&B understands. When we visit the Lubec area again, though, we will choose one of the rooms with an en suite bathroom, just for the convenience. As another reviewer noted, none of the doors can be locked from the outside, so just be forewarned. We felt comfortable leaving our clothes, etc., unattended in the room, but kept valuables such as cameras with us. The Wi-Fi worked well. There are no TVs in any of the rooms or the large main living room, but there are many books to browse through. While in Lubec we went to the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, ate at Cohill's Inn, loaded up on sweets at Monica's Chocolates, visited the Roosevelt summer home on Campobello Island, and just generally relaxed. We enjoyed our little get-away at The Home Port Inn, and will definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Home Port Inn. Susanna was charming and a delight to visit with. Her historic home was beautifully decorated and welcoming. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the view from our room was beautiful, and breakfasts both mornings were superb! Lubec is a quiet little fishing town close to the Quoddy Head lighthouse. Lubec, Quoddy Lighthouse, Monica's Chocolates (just outside of Lubec), and Susanna's Home Port Inn were all wonderful parts of our New England vacation!
