Took a weekend vacation up to lubec on a whim. Ended up eating at the tavern and then staying upstairs. It was quaint, quiet and had beautiful views. It was open when nothing else in the area was and the owners were super friendly. Hope to stay again!

This is our 2nd time stay at this wonderful establishment. The beds are amazingly comfortable. Jim is one of the kindest innkeepers we have met. We were a late arrival and he came down to the inn just to make sure we arrived ok. This is truly the best place to stay in Lubec!

Jim and Judy have a great location! We loved our stay! The rooms were super cozy and the views from the Narrows Suite were amazing! The muffins every morning and carrabassett coffee (our favorite!) were delicious! Jim and Judy made us feel so welcome we ended up staying another night! We couldn't have been happier with where we stayed :)

We ended up staying at this inn because all the other hotels and motels were full that night, and another hotel suggested we try the Water Street Tavern & Inn. We're embarrassed to say that our expectations weren't very high. Boy, were we wrong! From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed. The inn keeper was very welcoming! Our...

The Water Street Inn is a wonderful, clean place to stay when in Lubec, Maine. The owners are so accommodating and the rooms were well appointed and clean. Bonus - there is a common area with a kitchenette and living area with a terrific view of the dock. You can bring a beverage from the bar below or on your...

We visited the restaurant after driving 6 hours from Canada to Campobello island. Decided to stop in before we crossed the boarder and soooooo glad we did! Both dishes were absolutely amazing - down home cooking but with sooo much yumminess! We will be back - and o now have a new love for greens beans and garlic! - YUM!!!...

The Water Street Tavern strikes a nice balance between foodie haven and local pub. The space is nicely laid out, with the quality feel afforded by white linen tablecloths and a nice wine list. At the same time, the service is friendly and approachable. The menu is flavorful and reasonably priced. The mushroom risotto is a particular favorite of mine....

We stayed here in August of 2015. We arrived early on a Saturday morning (we were supposed to arrive Friday night). Our room was ready for us with a note welcoming us. The room was small but beautiful and comfortable. The decor was great, hardwood floors, a comfortable king-size bed and a pull out couch. Shortly after we arrive the...

Best meal I had in Lubec. Enjoyed a late dinner until closing. Enjoyed visiting with friendly staff and owners. Nice atmosphere sitting by at or near the bar, in the front window, or towards the back overlooking the harbor. There were tables for two as well as booths for 8 or more.

Literally EVERYTHING about this place blew my mind, so I don't even know where to begin! Dinner at the restaurant upstairs (by the same name and owner) was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Great flavor. Great views of Lubec Narrows. Great service. Nice bar. The owner is incredibly nice, outgoing, and provides the best service. Every morning, he delivers (through the backdoor...
