This is a great hotel. The rooms are spacious and very nicely done. Lots of rooms and the beds and bathroom were great. The location is right downtown and yet it is amazingly quiet. Great place to walk to anywhere in town.
The hostess was very friendly and the location was perfect. We walked to nice restaurants and enjoyed the waterfront. The rooms are knotty pine with a pretty view. We even saw a double rainbow from our room over the water! Lubec is very unique and I would visit again.
This was the first stop on our road trip down the coast of Maine. We arrived in the early evening and were exhausted from the 12 hour drive. Dianna was there to greet us and check us in to room #4 which overlooks the Bay of Fundy, Campobello Island, Muholland Point Lighthouse and the charming little block of "downtown" Lubec. We were offered complimentary beverages also at check in. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and it was as described on the website. The only 2 things missing in the room for me was either a dresser or a luggage rack, somewhere to put our suitcases other than on the floor and a larger shelf for bathroom items near the sink. She also had a nice area in the driveway with a table and chairs, we sat there and enjoyed some conversation with other guests. I would recommend the Betsy Ross Lodging next time you stay in Lubec. …
This is our 2nd time staying at the Betsy Ross. Always very clean and comfortable! Our room looked out at the channel and Campobello island. Diana the owner is welcoming and helpful if you have questions!
We stayed here for the first time in July. We chose the Betsy Ross Lodging due to its close proximity to places that we wanted to see. The room was very clean, cozy, charming. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Our stay was sweet. Diane is a true hostess. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. The woodwork gleams. The glass of wine was a nice touch. I look forward to another stay. The Sunrise Cafe makes a darn good omelet.
Spotless, comfortable and accommodating room (and incredible fit and finish to the woodwork). We coordinated an after hours arrival and stayed two nights. Diana was very helpful. Would definitely stay again. The Sunrise Cafe is just across the street for breakfast.
We stayed here last minute and was so comfy and pampered that we stayed several days. We returned over 10 times in the summer 2015. Most comfortable and peaceful rest and relaxation we have ever had. This is not a regular hotel, it is charming and every room feels like a peaceful home in itself. The tranquil nature of the rooms with all the necessary amenities makes this perfect. It is spotlessly clean and absolutely shines with pride. The Innkeeper is a true hardworking New England lady and will go out of her way to make sure your full comfort is achieved. We have been all over the world and this is a truly peaceful place right in the charming village of Lubec. Hugely recommend for all travelers, the Betsy Ross is a true gem!!!
We recently spent 5 nights at Betsy Ross. Diana, the owner, could not have been kinder or more accommodating. The entire inn is spotless and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Views over the water are awesome, and this little town is unspoiled, simple and serene. Water surrounds everything. There is always a delightful breeze and temps are moderate for summertime. Our rooms had overhead fans and large windows which let in the sea air. The Sunrise Cafe across the street serves breakfast beginning at 6 a.m. with many homemade baked goods and a deck overlooking the water. Right next door to the inn, there is a charming what-not shop, quite eclectic, with all proceeds going to the kitty shelter which adjoins it.
We stayed in Room 1 and arrived after hours. We had spent the afternoon at Campabello Park, and it was easy to find the lodging which is close to the bridge and by the water. Dianna and I spoke previously so I knew where to look for the room key. The room was clean and bright, and the bed was comfortable. It was cool, so we turned the heat on which warmed up the room nicely. We walked down the street from the lodging to find a place to eat dinner, and found a couple of places open. Very reasonably priced and we slept great. I highly recommend a stay here.
