Cohill's Inn is located at 7 Water Street in the town of Lubec, Maine overlooking the Bay of Fundy on one side and the Lubec Narrows on the other. We provide simple but appealing fare and overnight accommodations for those wishing to extend their stay in Lubec. Cohill's Inn is modeled after the traditional Irish pubs that we found and adored during our travels through the coastal towns of Ireland. We offer a warm and friendly atmosphere for people to gather for pleasant company, hearty fare and good cheer. Come enjoy a weekend or more in one of our nine smoke free rooms and watch the seals frolic just outside our Inn. Enjoy the casual charm of our traditional fishing village, the historic waterfront and the unspoiled beauty of Downeast Maine.

This was the crown jewel of my trip up the Maine Coast. This is not only Maine as it should be, but America as it should be. I met the kindest people. If you want the amenities of Big Tourist Towns this may not be your favorite place. I enjoyed the chit chat with locals and fellow visitors. I was traveling alone but had more company in Lubec at Cohill's than I usually have in my hometown. I look forward to going back! Make sure you try Ellen's jambalaya. Order early before they sell out. This is not mass-produced food. This is Ellen's home cooking. She can cook for me anytime!

Pretty much the only place to stay in Lubec. Unfortunately their Pub isn't open most nights so hard to find liquor nearby. Cohill's is a comfortable, waterfront location. It had a large room with a nice bathroom. Thee was no complimentary breakfast so it felt more like a hotel than Inn.

We spent 2 nights at the Cohills Inn in late September, close to the end of their season. Location across the street from the wharf was terrific, with beautiful views of the water from our room. Host was very friendly, and check-in was easy. In this time of Covid, we appreciated that the owner required full vaccinations for guests. Yes, there are no elevators, so luggage had to be carried up to the 3rd floor, but that was no problem for us. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Appreciated the frig, but would have also liked a small microwave. Bathroom could use more towel bars or rings, but towels and shower were great. If you travel to Lubec late in the season, be aware that there may not be many restaurants to be open, but there is a grocery store close by. Overall, I’d recommend Cohills to anyone.

We were warmly greeted and handed our code for the room lock. Our room #9 on the third floor. which has the full view of the water. That was the best at Cohill's Inn. Climbing outside and inside stairs, along with luggage, and the few times we left the room, gave us our workout for the day. No ADA here it is an old waterfront building. The hallway shows its age & dreary. The room has outdated/worn few pieces of furniture, antique t.v., a very small bathroom. The bed was comfortable and leaving the windows opened brought comfort, as well. Only staying one night was okay for no-frills.

The Inn is a great location with lovely views of Bay of Fundy. It is your basic room with comfy bed but the walls are thin. I could hear ‘snoring’ in the next room. I’m a light sleeper and have learned to pack earplugs. The restaurant is open limited days of the week and hours; check ahead. The food offerings say “Small Plate” but don’t be fooled. You will not walk away hungry. The food is excellent.

We stayed a couple of nights to round off a month in Maine. Fantastic view of Canada right out of the window, and a comfortable bed. This was right in the middle of the COVID chaos, so sadly we didn't get to sample the restaurant. But I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to venture to the Eastern edge of the USA.

Stayed at Cohill's Inn so we would get an early start visiting Campobello Island. Room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator but for us that was no problem. Check-in was simplified by having the room code, wifi, etc on a small card handed to us with the exterior key. And that was it! Room and bathroom were very clean. Some of the furniture appeared to be of the yard sale type, used but functional. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. While we didn't need it, there was a very substantial down comforter that would certainly keep you warm in winter. Had difficulty with the key to the front door the next morning, Thankfully the owner was coming downstairs and let us in. There are rooms that face the bay and others that face the house next door, with view of the water if stretch to see it. Don't know if you could have requested a water-view or not.

You cannot ask for better location for an escape to Lubec, America's eastern most continental city, than Cohill's Inn. Literally walk to any place you want to dine or to any spot to just marvel at the sea. Short drive to the iconic tourist destinations in the area (Campobellow, Quoddy Point). Lovely gallery shopping and lots of peace and serenity.

My friend and I got a last munute room at Cohills in Lubec. The 3rd floor room was basic and clean, with a king size bed, nice bathroom, and , fabulous view of the bay from the huge windows! The restaurant is on the bottom floor, so very convenient, for dinner and drinks. Price was high, but, it was July, and last minute.

Sort of fell into this charming inn when we showed up on vacation. Someone told us this was a cool town so we went there. We showed up in the middle of the International marathon (Campobello, NS) to Lubec. We were so lucky to get a room, the town was hopping with runners and supporters. The innkeeper was very busy but was gracious and showed us the room before we booked. Had a lovely room overlooking the Bay of Fundy and the street. Also had an excellent dinner there that night. Nothing fancy but very comfortable and would go back in a heartbeat.
