Great hotel, regatta club food is fresh and amazing. It was a quick last minute trip and it worked great. Can't recommend this place enough. Privately owned and operated. And, be sure you try the Make Your Own bloody Mary's on Sunday's... Enjoy...

You all made this so easier. The way it was set up and the place was in walking distance to everything. We loved the breakfast and the bar too! The staff was great and the rooms were clean. We were a little worried because our room was right by the elevator. We didn't hear a thing. By the Way, I...

We stayed at the Salem Waterfront for a long, winter weekend get away. The hotel has plenty of parking and is conveniently located for walking to restaurants and attractions. The staff was friendly and nicely accommodated our early checkin, even upgrading us to a king deluxe, away from the elevator and ice machine, as requested. The room was clean and...

My husband and I stayed one night here. The people were all very friendly, the food at the pub was delicious and service was great. Unfortunately, the room we got was lacking in some areas. The first issue we noticed was that there was a lot of body hair on the bathroom floor. Now, this was somewhat alarming, but we...

Dear Gerryandsandie, I am deeply troubled at your recent experience and the housekeeping issues you experienced during your stay. This is not on par with the level of service and clearly we missed an opportunity to give you a true Salem Waterfront experience. I would love the opportunity to speak further about your experience and to gather insight on what...

Business brought me to Salem and in my off-hours I found this hotel to be an excellent base camp for exploring the area. It is within walking distance of all the main attractions and many good restaurants. The rooms were clean and well-groomed. The in-room Keurig machine was greatly appreciated. I would eagerly stay there again if I have additional...

The Salem Waterfront is centrally located to all the major attractions in Salem in walking distance. The staff were excellent and offered advise on sites to see and restaurants. The breakfast dining was excellent, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Free on-site parking is a big plus. We would recommend to all.

We were here for a weekend getaway of 50 avid scrapbookers. It was off season Ample parking, aftern cookies in the lobby. Suite has a queen bed and sofa sleeper. Keurig, fridge, microwave in the room. Large bathroom with nice smelling toiletries, very plush towels, abd robes. Extra blankets were velour, but the room was toasty. Breakfast was "home made"....

While I usually stay with family when in Salem, this past trip we stayed at this hotel. The room was comfortable, and clean. There really is no view to speak of, unless you like looking over the parking lot and parking garage. It is conveniently located at Pickering Wharf, which is close to everything. The room was spacious enough for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rising six stories, the Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites on Pickering Wharf Marina blends a contemporary outlook with an appreciation for the area's proud past. It is Salem's newest boutique hotel with a warm nautical décor. The 86 rooms and suites have handsome wood furnishings, fabrics in soothing shades and windows that let in lots of light. Look for flat-panel TVs with cable channels, pillowtop beds and high-end Keurig coffeemakers. There are complimentary wired and wireless internet connections available throughout the property, and loaner iPads are available in the lobby. Local calls are free, as are morning newspapers in lobby. It is the only hotel downtown Salem with a heated indoor pool, and the fitness room is packed with cardio and strength-training equipment. Specializing in locally caught seafood, the on-site restaurant, The Regatta Pub, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for a "Cool and Casual Fare with Flair". In warmer weather, the tables spill out onto the patio and on cooler nights we have roaring firepits for guests to relax and enjoy a beverage or meal next to. Laundry service is a plus and Parking is always free. Our doormen will be most happy to assist with luggage assistance. LOCATION: With more than 300 years of history just outside the front door, the Salem Waterfront Hotel is a great base for exploring. The hotel sits at Pickering Wharf, close to lots of shopping and dining opportunities. Within walking distance are attractions like the Peabody Essex Museum and the historic Phillips House. Boston Logan International Airport is 15 miles southwest and Boston is 20 miles. ... more   less
