This place was surprisingly fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect when we pulled in but the room was the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. While the main office is cluttered and musty, it was not in any way representative of the quality of the rooms. I highly recommend this inn!

We stayed at the Clipper for two nights. Since I was traveling with adults, we upgraded to a suite. Having the extra room was great. The accommodations are simple, but adequate. The one thing that makes this motor lodge style inn really stand out is the cleanliness. Our room was spotless and the cleaning staff were terrific. It was obvious...

Don't go in expecting something fancy. It was a bit rundown but for the price you cannot complain to much. they don't have a breakfast in stead the front office gave us gift cards to dunkin doughnuts.

Clipper Ship is an older motel but it has all the modern amenties needed. Great people at front desk, we booked a room for the week of Halloween and when we got there they had upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge. Rooms were very clean. Very impressed. I definitely recommend Clipper Ship and will stay there again...

We agree with a fellow rater that there was a bit of questionable business going on, this time in the parking lot. In addition, the woman who greeted us at check-in was nosey, snobby, and demeaning. We didn't feel welcomed at all, but we were too exhausted from a 6-hour flight to complain and needed to sleep. Never again.

Upon arrival we pull in and to the left was a questionable housing apt. with questionable people hanging around it...so that made us a bit nervous but everything was fine in the end... check in and out was odd (they asked how many people were staying in the room? never gotten that somewhere before) but it quick and easy. The...

My friend and I changed our plans to visit Salem during the very busy month of October and moved our trip up by a week. I was shocked to find this Inn had one room available and was "in town." We checked in and were greeted by a very pleasant and attentive lady. Upon check in, she gave each of...

I've lost track of how many times we have stayed here over the past 30 years! Great rooms for the lowest price in town. You get a large living room, a large bedroom closed off from the living room by double doors, a large bathroom with a heat lamp above your drying off area after your shower (or soak in...

The two ladies working the front desk are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area! Was given free breakfast gift cards to dunkin donuts and a box of chocolate! The bed was comfortable and room was nice. You can walk to the attractions or take a short cab ride. Thank you for letting me keep my car parked there while...

So, since they were the only place with rooms I booked...... I am glad I did. It is an AFFORDABLE place to stay and CLEAN........ We...
