This review is only for the basement bar, not the hotel. Havana Hotel is really cute and old. Ocho at the Havana Hotel was closed for a private event, but the other bar in the basement was open. It's incredibly dark down there — sorta ridiculous, actually. There's no way to read the menu without the light of your phone.... More

I loved my room. Large enough to be comfortable for me. (Queen Room) The covered porch near my room was wonderful and comfortable. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 4 stars is that there were a few details that have been, in my opinion, overlooked. All easily accessible power plugs that I found were being used by tv,... It was very bohemian and the rooms were exactly as pictured. The staff was friendly and helpful. The negatives - the a/c didn't work all that well (it was 97 degrees out) and the floors were creaky so if you're a light sleeper, beware. My biggest complaint was the lighting in my bathroom was very poor. Other than that, the... More

Hotel is cute and quaint...loved historical touches and decor. Floor was very squeaky...sorry to people below. My chips from the snack tray were expensive and stale...clerk downstairs didn't seem concerned. My heel got hung up on the thick runner and I fell down the stairs (completely sober and she wasn't concerned about that either). This left a bad feeling for... More

Melissa Please let me apologize for the lack of care an concern by our front desk agents. I will address the quality issue of the chips with our housekeeping manager, maintenance for the runner on the stairs, and most importantly the front desk agents that did not immediately address your concerns of quality and safety. I hope you will consider... More

Our son graduated from Lackland this weekend. It was very emotional and the Hotel Havana was the perfect resting place each night. We took advantage of extended stay discount and stayed an extra night. Kudos to the housekeeping staff who did a excellent job. I loved my little message from Ernest Hemingway and the cookies on the bed each night.... More

This was everything I want it to be: unique, beautiful, quiet, sexy. Staying here was such a wonderful getaway, like traveling to a European hotel (without the jet lag, cost, and hassle). We enjoyed Ocho for breakfast and dinner. It was fun to see a part of San Antonio away from the usual tourist drag, yet we easily strolled to... More

Really enjoyed this hotel. Travelling through San Antonio and decided to spend a night. Hotel Havan proved to be a perfect place. Conveniently located, well priced, clean and full of charm I really enjoyed sleeping in rooms that looked like they belonged in a historical place i.e. The Alamo. Cosy little bar too --- an inviting room for a late... More

Hotel Havana nails the Cuban theme. Awesome decor, great service and ideal location to explore the city. Right on the river walk but away from the maddening crowds. It feels like your own little secret. The hotel restaurant, Ocho, doesn't disappoint. Great happy hour mojitos. Pet friendly we traveled and stayed two nights with our dog.

I love this hotel and can't wait to go back. The attention to detail is so nice. I especially love Ocho and the downstairs bar. It's such a nice respite from the cartoonish feeling some of the places on the riverwalk have.

Can't say enough good things about this venue. We had an amazing stay as the room was comfortable and the food delicious. The unique style of the whole hotel contributed to a pleasant vibe. We will spread the good word about Hotel Havana to our friends.
