We've stayed in many Drury Inn's over the years, this is one of my favorites. The room was very nice and clean and large enough to not feel cramped. Our room didn't have a view of the Riverwalk but I was still very pleased with it. You can get on the elevator down to the bottom level and walk out a back door and be right on the Riverwalk; so convenient! The evening happy hour offers 3 free drink tickets and a food layout that is enough to be dinner. We are vegetarians so were maybe a bit more limited but it still worked out...salad, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. There were also chicken tenders, hot dogs, nachos and cheese. There is a rooftop pool, I only wish that a better view of the city would be possible but I imagine that would create a huge liability for the hotel. The room was a bit pricey but when I was checking around, anything on the Riverwalk was pricey and Drury was one of the better deals. Be aware though that parking is extra - $20 per night. But, it's convenient! I would stay here again without a doubt.…

Good trip. Very noisy, room was across the elevator. Asked to be moved if across from the elevator. Slept good after midnight. Older room but nice room. Walked right out the front door to the riverwalk. Nice helpful staff.

From the moment we arrived, it was an excellent experience. We were promptly greeted and felt very welcome. We booked a king suite room and the room was great. It was spacious with a living room and a bedroom with a kitchen area separating the two areas. The living room had a comfortable chair and sofa. We slept great in the king bed. We didn't request a balcony room, but the room was on an upper floor with a balcony. It didn't have a view (it faced the wall of the hotel next door), but it was nice to walk outside to sit for a few minutes and enjoy the cool air. Now, if we had paid for a balcony our opinion of the view would be different. Since it was just an extra amenity that the hotel provided, it was nice. The breakfast was standard continental breakfast and was the same each morning. We stayed 4 nights, but there were so many breakfast choices that we ate something different each morning (biscuits and gravy, sausage, scrambled and hardboiled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt). It was all delicious. Then, each evening we went to the kick start dinner/drinks. They served a different light dinner each evening and we each got 3 drinks from the bar. It was nice to sit in the dining room and look out at the Riverwalk while enjoying our food and drinks. Parking was easy with in and out privileges. The garage is a little tight, though. We drove a midsized SUV and it was fine. There were several large trucks in the parking garage, but I personally would not want to maneuver a large vehicle through the garage. We drove in and out several times during our stay and had no issues with the parking garage. The hotel is located on a quieter part of the Riverwalk. We enjoyed getting a cup of coffee at the hotel and walking down the Riverwalk each morning. It's very peaceful in the mornings before the crowd arrives. The weekend evenings were pretty packed along the Riverwalk. The weekday evenings were less crowded. We had one issue with our room that involved the air conditioner fan. The hotel was very apologetic and addressed the situation immediately. We were very happy with everything about our stay here. I highly recommend it. We can't wait to return. We'll definitely stay here again. …

The location was perfect for our 3 night stay. We walked everywhere and was no more than 2 miles from everything we wanted to do. The rooms could use some updating but we were only in the room to sleep. I would stay here again just for location if you want to be right on the Riverwalk.

When a Drury hotel is available in the location we are going to, that is where we are going to stay. Because...we know that each of their hotels have the same high standards. The accommodations are excellent; cleanliness is excellent; every staff member we come in contact with is friendly and helpful and always make us feel welcome. The hot breakfast and the 5:30 PM Kick Back is great! Yes, we can highly recommend the Drury Hotel chain!

Great location. Includes breakfast and some food and drinks in the evening. Very comfortable. The most helpful and attentive staff I've ever experienced in a hotel. I would stay here if I ever come back to San Antonio. Located right on the River Walk. Walk out the door on the bottom floor and step right on the River Walk walkway.

Price shopped and selected this for combined best price including location, parking charge/location, included breakfast and happy hour and comparison to reviews I deemed realistic. The common areas are well appointed, clean and attractive. The property is right on the Riverwalk with elevator to Riverwalk level. Parking garage is tight but attached to property and I didn't have any difficulty finding convenient parking space. Restaurant and boat launch 2 minutes away property. It is a building built in 1921 and renovated by Drury in 1998. The character of a building this age comes along with small room size, low ceilings and less natural light. The beds were comfortable, the room clean, well appointed and included a balcony that looked out on the riverwalk. The sounds from the riverwalk, traffic and the parking garage were noted but but quiet by 11 pm. The evening happy hour included great hot food options and cocktails/beverages. The breakfast was standard hotel hot breakfast, biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy plus cold options. Between the parking price and the two included meals it was a very cost effective option for a stay in a historic building right on the Riverwalk. Newer hotels might have offered larger rooms but price was much higher, parking cost higher and didn't include meals. A security attendant was on duty at the entry from the street so parking felt safe and protected. If stairs are an issue please note outside of handicapped spaces or ground floor of garage there is a half flight of stairs from garage to the building, and a half flight on upper floor. …

We had a great experience at this hotel. The free breakfast was very good, also the free appetizers and drinks in the afternoon was the unexpected surprise. Right on the Riverwalk but not in the noisy area. Jeff is a great manager and everything was perfect.
