This is where I love to stay when in San Antonio, TX. It's walking distance to the river walk and numorous restaurants. The rooms are spotless and the decor is as close to original as it can be. This is a historical hotel with a quaint, tiled, patio downstairs and an upstairs sundeck to overlook the busy city. The rooms...

Loved the location and all the vases, furniture and other accessories. Our room was unique with its own balcony. We had a double bed, comfortable arm chairs, a desk and chair. The decor made us feel like we were visiting a 1920's mansion and the furnishings were adequate for our needs though a couple of drawers in the closet or...

This hotel is really neat. I wish that there were more rooms remodeled, because the ones that are decorated are really neat! No two rooms are the same. My colleague had a room that was smaller, less luxurious, and not quite as cool. The electrical outlets are few, particularly compared to today's more modern hotels. The price is definitely right...

If you love the "by-gone days" experience, this hotel is for you. The suites my family were assigned reflected the luxury of past days and we loved it. The employees were extremely polite and helpful, especially since we arrived very late at night. All of downtown San Antonio was within walking distance. Our entire stay would have been excellent if...

Should have realized we were in for an adventure when the cabbie told us in all his years he has NEVER drove anyone to The Fairmont. I must state that the STAFF was VERY friendly and try to appease us every way they could including refunding our money for the second night of our stay there. The hotel has lots...

We stayed a few days at this "charming" hotel. The staff was a 10/10, very polite, professional and accommodating! The owner is a 0/100. The property is in terrible shape. Black mold in bathroom, wall paper peeling off the walls. The furniture is literally falling apart. The theme of the hotel revolves around a sweet dog that died 10+ years...

The Fairmount Hotel was an absolutely wonderful choice for a "girls' getaway" weekend in San Antonio!!! It was charming, the service was outstanding, and the location was fantastic. We would all return to the hotel in a heartbeat. We stayed in a 2 queen-bed suite (there were 3 of us), and the room was both huge and gorgeous! Recently remodeled,...

What a GREAT getaway. The Fairmount feels like the elegance from the past. Our Junior Suite #311 was and archatectual marvel. The high ceilings, the beautiful woodwork , the front balcony that gave views of beautiful construction from the 1968 worlds fair. It was really a hoot to hear the riverboat captains or the tour bus operators talking about your...
