First Canopy visit. The best laid out room. Perfect for multiple guests in a room. Sliding door separates beds from closet/bathroom/coffee area, which had a ton of room. Door separates toilet from sink. Truly, the best laid out room I have stayed in. Had everything I needed - extra towels, nespresso machine, a very cold mini fridge. Right on river walk and across street from convenience store. Had a very good restaurant on the river. Perfect stay.
We stayed here in August with our 17 year old daughter. The property was only 4 months old at the time (I didn't even know that when I booked). It is perfectly located on the Riverwalk. The staff - from the valet to the front desk to the restaurant - was extremely friendly & professional. They all made us feel welcome & sincerely wanted to make sure we were taken care of. For those wondering, the valets park your car in a secured garage (good to know!). The hotel has instituted a text system wat you use to communicate with the front desk & valet. It's so convenient! Not only did they text us to make sure our room was adequate, but we were able to request extra towels, toiletries and have our car brought up - all via text! Now for the rooms - I LOVE the industrial/farmhouse decor. The rooms were large and clean with a floor to ceiling window. The use of farmhouse doors made the space seem larger. The shower was HUGE. We had apps and drinks in the downstairs restaurant. It sits right on the Riverwalk and was delicious. Ask for a spicy skinny margarita - it's not on the menu but they were more than willing to make it for me and did it perfectly! The hotel is steps from the river cruise station, so that was also convenient. Overall this is a solid choice. It's a beautiful property with wonderful employees and reasonably priced, especially for being right on the Riverwalk.…
Hotel is in very good location but badly designed. There is no service lift so do expect to share your elevator with smelly trash bins , laundry trolleys etc on your way to breakfast! Not very welcoming. The hotel seem very busy and the staff were just about coping. DO NOT stay in this hotel if you are intolerant to gluten or expect leisurely friendly service. When I ask information on eating out at the reception (no concierge) I was told to look at the internet. We ended up going to the Westin just a block away for breakfast!
My huband and I stayed here this weekend for our anniversary. Hotel is cool and trendy and great location, thes best thing about it, nothing special though. The restaurant was over filed so we were never able to eat on property no big deal i guess since there is so much around. Dont book thru a booking site, if you end up cancelling they dont get those communications and you will get charged. We had booked thru a booking site and then remembered I had hilton honors so re-booked thru there cancelled thru booking.com, Canopy never received that an although we had already checked in they double charged me for the canceleld room, and extra things were tacked on the morning of checkout that if I didnt check my statements I would never have caught. Over all niceplace but not worth the cost and hastle. …
The hotel is nice but upon arrival with friends who were also staying at hotel we were told since their Subaru Outback had a roof rack box that we could not use valet and had to self park. We had chose this specific hotel as it was right across the street from the venue for the concert we were in town to see. So they told us we had to self park. Downtown was so crowded and it took about an hour to find other parking and we had no issues fitting into parking garage. During the time we were stuck in traffic like a few blocks trying to find Parking I called hotel to complain. I got in touch with manager and she said it was third party valet so they weren't responsible for specifying online that you can't use valet if you have roof rack box and that it was more a decision based on liability if it's stolen. So we missed the first two bands that played due to the problems we had trying to find parking. When I expressed concern at hotel they didn't care. Would not recommend this hotel and just FYI on roof rack box.…
I do not recommend this hotel at all and it hearts my heart because I love the Hilton brand hotels . But if your skin tone is anything passed tan be prepared to be watched like a hawk when you come in and be judged and looked at like you don’t belong there . I would compare this to a motel 6 or a days inn , you are really paying the price because of the location because frankly this hotel does the “ Hilton “ name a great shame . I wasn’t expecting anything special from the hotel because I live in San Antonio and was going to a concert and wanted to enjoy a weekend away from my work , but what I was NOT expecting was blood stains on the sheets , dirt crumbles in between the comforter and sheets as if someone laid in the bed before me with shoes on , feathers from the pillows mixed in between the sheets as well . House keeping is definitely under rated but common sense would dictate to clean blood stains and dirt from the bed . The night manager did come and change my sheets and was super nice which was refreshing given the service I was given upon arrival . Maybe because the hotel is still new there’s these issues but I definitely won’t be returning. The best part of the stay was checking out and coming home . PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHEETS FOR BLOOD STAINS…
The hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean and spacious. But this review is mainly about the staff. All the bartenders in Otro were amazing. They made a killer drink and they were super friendly. Big shout out to Arie and Connell who made the experience one to remember! Thank yal!!!
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during a USA trip. Fantastic location with direct access to the riverwalk. Modern, comfortable hotel. Friendly & welcoming staff on arrival. Room was very spacious (Deluxe Room), well equipped, excellent bed & bathroom. Wifi not great (was out of order for some of our stay). Only realissue was a load humming noise from 04:30AM on our second night. Called reception who said they were aware and the issue was being dealt with - engineer on site. Went on for at least 2hrs! We mentioned this at check-out - receptionist claimed no knowledge then down-played & said "one other guest had mentioned". Seriously? !! Not acceptable Hilton. Should have offered compensation for the real inconvenience. On this experience, might not use this hotel again, Disappointing service - expect better. :-(…
The hotel was a lovely choice in terms of environment. With multiple environmental allergies it is always nice to be in a space that feels clean and safe. I did not need to use an air cleaner which I travel with. Comfortable bed, clean room easy access to the river wall. I'd rather the hotel 5/5 BUT valet service experience was horrible. My well concealed camera was stolen from my vehicle packed by the valet- no sign of break in so obvious that someone searched the care. Poor response from Towne park valet company who won't replace and no follow up from the Canopy hilton that was immediately notified of the theft. That to me is poor customer service right there!
Yorell is the best. He retrieved our daughters phone from our vehicle in valet. He was so very polite and courteous. He also recommended a great place to eat. Keep him around as he’s a great asset to The Canopy Hilton!
