The San Antonio Fire Museum hosted the 2016 Fire Museum Symposium using the Historic Crockett as the host hotel. Months of planning was made much easier by the hotel's sales manager, Shirley Dyer. The same group owns 1859 Menger Hotel situated a few steps away and their staff accommodated the symposium in their spacious Minuet Room. The many Network Museum... More

I had a great stay. While somewhat dated (but hey, its an old hotel), the Crockett is a well cared for and has all the amenities you need. The rooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable. Nice pillows, sheets, and duvet. No nasty bedspreads. Fantastic proximity. It took me a few minutes walk to the convention center. I would stay... More

Yes it's older but the Crockett is a nice hotel. They updated their rooms . Bathroom was clean but all original bath and shower . The location is what's great about this place right downtown. The noise outside could be heard , traffic , horse buggies . We always have a white noise machine , drowns out any outside noise.

Right across the street from the Alamo, short walk to the Riverwalk, the Crocket Hotel was a great choice. The reception was warm, room clean and quiet, and breakfast fine. (Included eggs, bacon, beans, yogurt, cereal, juices, coffee... You get the idea.)

Hi, I stayed with a friend here. I must say to start with the exterior architecture of the hotel appealed me and the location is just perfect. You don't have to walk much before you reach the Alamo, the Riverwalk etc, so no extra taxi cost. Lot of eateries including starbucks at walking distance, souvenir gift shops for travelers. Barring... More

We visited San Antonio for two nights en route to New Orleans. A decent large room and good breakfast with helpful and professional staff. The hotel is right next door to the Alamo and the River Walk. Very good value.

Very convenient to River Walk and the Alamo. Comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. Breakfast was an added bonus and Ernie's bar was so nice as we waiting for our group to arrive and link up before heading to dinner.
