Very tastefully decorated fine hotel. Excellent service, very comfortable rooms. The pool looked nice, though we didn`t use it. Comfy beds, spacious bathroom. Location couldn`t be better, right in front of the `Selena`bridge.
We have stayed at this hotel before and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We came back on vacation for a quick overnight stay. What a wonderful surprise when we walked in our room and there was champagne and chocolates waiting for us! It was a gift from the hotel staff wishing us a happy anniversary. Everyone had even signed the card! We will always stay the Omni La Mansion Del Rio when in San Antonio. Fabulous service, great accommodations, wonderful atmosphere right on the Riverwalk.
This is my second year in a row to stay here during the Christmas holidays and while the Riverwalk balcony rooms are pricey they are worth it, especially with the Christmas lights. Beautiful hotel, clean rooms and attentive and friendly staff
The room is small but very cozy well put together and very nicely designed. The hotel has a classiness about it that I like. The service was very good. The hotel sits steps away from the Riverwalk literally it's right next to the Riverwalk. There are tons of things to do in this area. No need for a car everything seems like it's in walking distance. So far I'm having a spectacular time.
Omni La Mansion Del Río helped me to give my mom the wonderful birthday that she deserved. My parents have loved this hotel since they stayed here for their honeymoon 46 years ago. I gifted my parents 2 nights here for mom’s 70th birthday and the service and experience was exceptional. Special thanks to Ed Parker, who had a bottle of champagne and special birthday treat sent up to their room! My parents couldn’t stop smiling as they described their stay to me (excellent service, beautiful and clean room, spacious balcony with a perfect view of the riverwalk) and I am so very grateful that they were treated with such kindness and care. Their car battery died on the day of their checkout and the fabulous valet staff helped them find a jumpstart and were so patient and supportive. We will definitely be back to this hotel for future trips to stay on the riverwalk.…
They claim to be a four star hotel but don’t even come remotely close. Might be good for a day stay but nothing more than that. Experienced issue as soon as we checked in with mariauna smell which the hotel did nothing to address besides offering to refresh the room. No apologizes or an option to switch the room. Following which we ran into multiple issues access the room, 6 trips later they still couldn’t fix our access. Again, not one person took ownership of this issue. Forget any apology, front desk acted like it was an issue they wouldn’t help.
Pros: Staff, staff, staff! Every hotel employee I encountered were rock stars. They were willing to help no matter the request and they did so pleasantly. The bell staff were courteous and extremely helpful. Check-in was pleasant, quick, and uneventful. Although there was a lot going on in the hotel throughout my visit, the staff maintained a calm, professional, and happy presence at all times. The hotel is a short distance from the airport and is located on the Riverwalk. Aesthetically, the hotel was very beautifully southwesternly decorated and quite inviting. The bar was small but a nice hang out, and the meeting and event areas were well-appointed. I did not use the spa, pool, nor gym. I also didn’t use housekeeping during my stay. Omni offers the option to forgo housekeeping in lieu of donating those services as a meal to the unhoused. I usually accept this option. My guestroom was clean and functional upon arrival. Cons: While beautiful, the hotel could be quite confusing to navigate. It took me 15 minutes to find our meeting space from my guestroom on the first day. Afterwards, I had to find a work-around that I could remember to get back-and-forth from my room to meeting facilities. Either there weren’t many catered food options, or our event planners weren’t very creative, but we had virtually the same food for lunch and receptions for two days straight. How much guacamole, salsa, and chips can a person eat? While the food was nicely arrayed, I found it not as spicy as I like my Mexican food. I would recommend this hotel to other businesses and will return for a leisure stay. …
This is my “go-to” Hotel in San Antonio. Staff is excellent & Rooms are well appointed and very clean and comfortable. Try to get a Riverwalk view with balcony. The Bar “El Collegio” is quaint and quiet. I love having a cocktail here and ordering a light lunch or dinner. The location is great and you can feel comfortable and safe in this area of downtown
This hotel is an absolute dream. Our room had 2 balconies! It was not facing the riverwalk, but still had great views of the courtyard and street, carriages going by all the time. Easy access to the riverwalk, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. I was there for business, and the meals were amazing! The best part was the staff! They are always going out of their way to open doors for you and help you in any way that you need!
The room was too warm the first 🌙....and the beds were not what I am accustomed to at an Omni..uncomfortable...the mattress must just be older....otherwise the place was located well along the river walk....and we were pleased. The ambiance wad on point.
