I've been to Santa Fe for research and was looking for a hostel and cheap place to stay for a week. I booked the Santa Fe International Hostel without any expectations and in a retroperspective I'm so happy that I have been there. The idea and 'culture' of a hostel is lived within this place. There was a warm welcome...

My daughter and I planned to stay here two nights but escaped after one. First of all, the gentleman who took our money repeatedly told us in detail how ill he'd been the day before and acted like his medication was still affecting his brain. Creepy. Even given that rooms are (supposed to be) cleaned by guests, this one had...

I must admit I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel but they do have some unusual rules that you may or may not like. Had a private room with shared dad and will admit the room was extremely basic and the blanket had holes in it. OK, let's just say the room was pretty rundown. As this is a...

This was my first hostel stay. It was such a beautiful experience. We walked in and met Paul Hester at the desk. What a delight he was. Each day each one of us had a chore to do that took all of 10 minutes, at the most. We could eat anything in the fridge without a name on it and...

Unfriendly staff. They gave me an attitude for absolutely no reason. I was "asked" to do chores which I am ok with. They did not really ask. They shouted it at me like I was their maid and then they supervised "my work" while I was cleaning. They made fun of me several times after that just to humiliate me....

This "review" is a re-hash of a long since redacted "attack"post ... This young woman has not, recently been a guest... Both management and this person have long memories ... Preston Ellsworth for Santa fe Int'l Hostel

I've stayed in dozens of hostels and this was one of the absolute best! The staff and owner are so welcoming and fun to chat with. The hostel gets a donation from Whole Foods once a week, so there is always TONS of free breads, yogurt, milk, fruits, pasta etc, etc. The facilities are old but decently maintained. Guests all...

The price is great!!! It's not the Hilton, but if you want a historic Route 66 hostel that has a great social atmosphere, this is the place. I recommend staying for a few nights, as there is a lot to do in Santa Fe and surrounding area. Make sure to visit some of the local hiking trails and art museums.

We enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hostel. It's a non-profit hostel, so it doesn't cost much. In exchange, in the morning, you pick a little chore to give a hand. It doesn't take more than 5-10 minutes! They offer free food, and it's very good. It's not in the middle of Santa Fe, but it's a great experience with...

I was going camping, but it was a rainy night so I decided to stay here. The room was kind of like a bunk house room but not terribly nice or clean. But heck, it was cheap. There is one somewhat unappealing part of the architecture. There are arches filled wrought iron in the hallway in front of the rooms...

Loved the staff! They have great food which is free to use all day. It used to be a motel but they made it feel like a hostel. The hostel is in walking distance of pretty much everything (Santa Fe isn't that big anyway). You do have to do a chore in the morning. Personally I didn't mind that at...
