#1 of 65 hotels in Santa Fe
Travellers' Choice
In one of Santa Fe’s most historic neighborhoods, designers Ira and Sylvia Seret, transformed a neglected cluster of traditional adobe buildings into a unique hotel. As internationally-known importers of exotic antiques, rugs, textiles and architectural elements, the Serets conceived the hotel as a showcase for their combined creative talents. From its 1996 opening as “Serets’ 1001 Nights”, the 24-suite hotel has been a magical retreat, brimming with the most exquisite of the Serets’ treasures, collected on travels through Central and South Asia. Sylvia Seret’s glorious, one-of-a-kind tile mosaics adorn the suites’ kitchens and bathrooms, while Ira Seret’s signature design style makes every space an extraordinary living experience. In 2002 the Inn was renamed to honor its sensuous atmosphere along with its many Afghan and Tibetan artifacts. The name, “Five Graces”, refers to an Eastern concept — the five graces of sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste. Each needs to be honored in the full experience of life. Over the years, the Serets’ original vision has been continually developed with meticulous attention to excellent service, cuisine, and comfort as the Inn has grown into newly acquired properties on its historic street. They continually enhance the hotel’s visual experience, updating design elements and collection pieces throughout. The Inn’s mission is to offer guests a uniquely unforgettable experience.

I had looked forward to staying here, and I will tell you the honest truth. This is incredibly expensive and they don’t deliver on what they should for the cost. They rely on the charm of the design, which is amazing. The bathrooms were wonderful ( heated floor, soaking tub, and beautiful details). But when you are paying over a thousand dollars a night after it’s all said and done, the details matter. Their coffee in the morning was bad and weak and the breakfasts were meh. The door of the the bathroom creaked when opening it and you had to shut it hard and loudly for it to close. This is a maintenance issue. The massages at the spa were average ( not great) and they were going to charge extra (on top of spa prices) to just turn on the steam in the steam room. That should be included, especially if all the other spa amenities are limited during this time. Save your money and just browse Seret and Sons store. They did the design. The staff seemed to do their best, but the quality needs to measure up at this level and it didn’t.

Good afternoon Tina G, I am so sorry to hear that we did not exceed your expectations, and you felt as if our service fell short when dining with us and in our Spa. I am pleased to hear you liked the design and decor of our beautiful hotel! We strive to go above and beyond for every single guest we have at our property, and again I apologize you feel that we did not. I would like to discuss further in detail with you over the phone if that is ok? If you can kindly provide your contact information I will personally reach out to you immediately. You can email me at erin@fivegraces.com and I will call you as soon as I receive your response. Thank you

This is a long overdue review from our trip in July of this past year. I cannot even begin to describe our experience at The Inn of Five Graces. We had planned a family trip for a party of 9 and booked several rooms at Five Graces. It so turned out due to certain health/ disability access/ allergy issues - my parents could not stay in the room we had booked. To cut a long try short - we had to find them a room at another property. I cannot even tell you how the front office staff and everyone helped us. They made everything so seamless and they were to understanding and kind. To cut a long story short - we had to make changes to our original plan but some of us managed to stay a few nights at Graces. Ive never experienced such charming hospitality. They were so kind to us and made allowances so the family could still be together. The rooms are so charming - its like being transported to another place. Its very homey - and a really unusual experience. I wan to thank Luic , Heather and the entire front office team for making our stay so so amazing. Everywhere we went after - paled in comparison. I hope to make it back soon. The Horiuchi and Sood Family thanks you all!

Simply put...and this was our 2nd visit...the Inn is one of the finest run, most beautifully creative places we've ever stayed! Impeccable service by EVERYONE. From its location in town - walkable to everything - to the comfortability of the room (and its welcoming music) to the most fabulous breakfast in the courtyard; to the spa and the entire unique décor of every room and every building....I urge you to NOT stay here when we want to come to insure we are able to get a room ;-)

I brought my mother here to celebrate her 70th birthday. This is a beautiful place, everything about it. There are gorgeous rugs, tiling, and accents covering every square inch of the place. Breakfast was delicious. The spa is out of this world, one of the best massages of my life. And Daniel G., the concierge, was absolutely fantastic! Hope to return one day!

We were excited to come to this hotel based on the many positive reviews. Check in was great and the room was beautiful. Breakfast is served until 11:00 A.M. We had a massage and arrived at 11:02. We asked if they could accommodate us and the waiter’s reply was ‘maybe I can find some granola for you. The chef does not take orders after 11:00. With paying a very high price for this hotel, they should cater to their guests. They did not, The lady at the front desk was very forgetful, We asked for an extra hour to check out. They said no problem. When we got back to our room, the key would not work. She said she forgot to put the extension in. When I called to have our car brought around for our checkout, again she forgot. I stay at a lot of nice hotels and this hotel did nothing to make me feel like a valued guest. Will not return,.
