We chose this property because it was within walking distance of the main square, it was--relatively--affordable ($200 per night including tax), and breakfast was included. Our room was quite large, though somewhat run-down, and fairly quiet. Breakfast included a variety of foods and was adequate. Assistance by staff members was okay, but mostly unenthusiastic. There is onsite parking included, but... More

We spent 4 nights at the Inn of the Governors. We had booked a standard twin room that we could upgrade to a room with a fireplace for a modest fee. The fireplace really added to the experience. The room was not large but had a lot of character. The bathroom is practical and well equipped. The included breakfast was... More

We have stayed at the Inn two times now, both times for one night only during a road trip. Even for such a short stay, we felt like we were at the center of activities in Santa Fe. We loved the rooms, the lobby area for gathering with our travel friends, and the short walks to wonderful downtown sights and... More

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Inn of the Governors and we were very pleased. We have traveled a good bit over the past couple of years and it always seems that it is the little things that irritate me about hotels and this one did a good job. The room was very clean and nicely decorated.... More

this is a real authentic santa fe hotel, rooms have corner Kiva fireplaces and decks to enjoy coffee etc. WE have stayed at other hotels and find this one the best. They include breakfast and a bar credit daily, try to stay in a suite as it costs very little more than the regular rooms. WE have stayed there more than... More

Came for 2 nights from Florida and loved the hotel as well as the attached bar/restaurant. Their included breakfast bar is so so good!! Their green chile was the best we had on our trip. We stayed in a room with a kiva fire place and windows that opened and overlooked a pretty area. Definitely would stay here again. Everything... More

Very comfortable inn. A bit dated, bathroom is small as is the main sleeping area. Work area is limited as are the number of outlets. However, the room was very clean and decorated with a unique western look. What makes the difference here is the location. Just blocks from the Town Plaza section and wonderful restaurants. The hotel also hosts... More

Rooms are clean, breakfast is good. You can sit by the fireplace on a chilly morning. Del Charro, the attached restaurant has a great house margarita and very good food. Only 2 blocks from the plaza so an easy walk to shopping, history, and restaurants.

We loved our stay at the Inn of the Governors, where the staff, always pleasant, always available, tended to every detail. This is a lovely, convenient setting in the heart of Santa Fe with every amenity imaginable: comfortable beds, free parking, superb breakfasts, charming decor, fresh flowers, and afternoon sherry in front of a blazing fire. Plus an adjoining restaurant... More

Service and breakfast were excellent, the 'sherry hour' very entertaining, the rooms quite comfortable, and the parking places convenient.. Unfortunately, an antique commode in our room was nearly dysfunctional and should have been sent to the flea market a long time ago.
