Had a nice time. Would be a higher rating if this weren’t supposed to be a super luxury resort. Pros - beautiful grounds, easy valet parking with help with luggage, beautiful lobby with free coffee as well as hot chocolate and cookies, activities each day (yoga, art talk, whisky tasting, etc), friendly staff, walking distance to the historic square, pet-friendly, shuttle around town, great Xmas decorations Cons - rooms are a bit dated and depressing, rooms are dark because you need to keep the shades closed for any privacy, you can hear your neighbors in the rooms

Its Not often that I compliment a bartender, but I was at La Posada Hotel for and Aaron at the bar and he made one of the best Manhattan’s I’ve ever had. Aaron made us feel welcome and made our night!

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay. Can’t believe it is a top MARIOTT hotel. Booked a suite . Rooms in bad need of new carpeting and new more stylish furnishings . No real lobby no Concierge - the bar was nice - the valet Parker’s are good. All in all just go somewhere else.

Arriving in Santa Fe at sunset, I was met with smiling faces of the valets, who took care of my vehicle and helped me with my luggage. (What a great service!) The staff at La Posada makes you feel like family, happy to help any way they can. Danielle rescued me after I managed to lose my room key!) A casual dinner and a cocktail at the Staub House was terrific, (Craig and Robert are great bartenders) finishing the night with a fire in the fireplace. Julia’s restaurant served a fabulous breakfast and great coffee. There is original artwork everywhere you go at La Posada, if you are planning on a trip to Santa Fe and want to stay close to the Plaza, La Posada is a must! Authentic adobe, super staff, 6 fabulous acres of authentic Santa Fe adobe not to be missed!

My husband and I made the difficult choice of canceling our honeymoon at the last minute and decided to do a mini-moon to somewhere in the US we had never been before. We decided upon Santa Fe after reading about how charming and tranquil it was. After looking through the several hotels that had availability, we decided upon La Posada as it was a very central location to the places we wanted to visit. We were absolutely delighted upon our arrival. The staff was so friendly and immediately gave us water bottles and gave us the rundown regarding the amenities of the hotel and that housekeeping would be on the third day of our stay. We splurged on a deluxe room with a king bed and a fireplace and it was absolutely worth it! The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was so amazing and comfortable, I never wanted to get out! My only regret was not asking the staff to come and set up a fire one night during our stay. As our room was pretty far out there, it was especially quiet and we loved walking through the enchanting grounds. I can't say enough how friendly and accommodating the staff is at La Posada. Everyone is so friendly and gave historical background to the area and even gave suggestions on places to visit. We visited the restaurants and bars and the service was great and the food and drinks were especially enjoyable. Make sure you order the Julia-rita! You can't go wrong with a stay at La Posada and we can't wait to come back and visit again in the future!
