The Hampton Inn does a good and unpretentious job when staying in the Thousand Oaks area. Do not expect anything appealing but just practical. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Room was well maintained and clean. Internet worked well. There is a small business center with a computer you can use. Pool hours are from 8 AM until 10 PM. Downside: there was no vault in the room. And they charge $ 10 / day for parking.
Watch out where your room faces: if it is towards the front of the hotel (direction of the lobby), you are likely to hear the nearby freeway 101.

This location goes above and beyond in terms of sanitary measures and service. The hotel is very clean. There are even sanitizing wipes by the elevators. The breakfast selection is very good and everything is individually wrapped to prevent contamination. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and we loved the pool. I highly recommend this location. It’s a great one for families with children. I thank Mrs. Champion for her help and service too.

We've stayed here before Summer 2020...but the holiday times made this stay feel extra special. From the holiday tree and decor in the front lobby, to the tasty "grab and go" a.m. breakfast (with fresh orange juice), to their swirling hot tub & heated pool (still a propos for mid-December)....plus a free room upgrade each nite as a Hilton Honors member....our stay @ Hampton Inn (King size suite) was delightful. One of the few hotels which offers full amenities to travelers at this time, while observing all required CV 19 hygiene protocol. You'll find a great business center with 2 computers, a full size gym, pool & jacuzzi, laundry room and a breakfast bar area, plus coffee/tea self-service in the lobby area open for your enjoyment. The "best bargain in town"? A definite "yes" on that one!

Over priced versus value, I would shop around for same quality location with more amenities and value for money spent. I am typically pleased with Hilton properties as they offer value and quality. This location did neither.

This hotel was a very bad experience. High rates combined with lousy rooms. It was very expensive compared to the low quality room. We came and were informed that Booking.com never confirmed the reservation and the clerk applied us the highest possible rate. We could not do anything since we were a bit late for what we were there and have no choice. The first room that was assigned was a real mess and disorder. The bed wasn´t done and there were some used towels in the bathroom. We complained and the clerk gave us another room. Breakfast was very good, but the whole price was very high compared with the poor facility. We will never come back and we regret that Hampton Suites have been selected. We received a credit of $7.00 when we checked out... Fantastic!

Dear VMRios, I am sorry to hear that you experience an issue with the room you where originally check-in to. We strive to offer our guest a happy stay and we are sorry for that mistake. Regarding the room rate, we did review your rates upon check-out and found them to be as reserved through Booking.com. If you have contrary information from booking.com please contact me and we are happy to review that information to insure that your billing was accurate, and review any other part of your stay.

During my recent visit to Thousand Oaks we spent a total of about two weeks staying in this hotel. Not only was it spotless but the service was impeccable. Ajay was awesome and whatever we asked of him he always delivered. The hotel was maintained well and each morning breakfast was available in the lobby area which was modified due to COVID but served as a good start to the day. I would definitely recommend staying here and the beds are extremely comfortable!

When we are driving up the coast, we often overnight in Thousand Oaks, and Hampton Inn was the last major hotel that we had not yet tried. At 2 pm on a Friday afternoon, we had a long wait to check in (there was a wedding going on), but after check-in, everything was just perfect. The reception staff were especially helpful and friendly. Maybe because we were Gold members we stayed in a beautiful large double room no. 203 with a view of the Walmart next door, a comfortable bed, and a large sitting area with a sofa. The next morning we had a typical Hampton Inn (cheese omelets, waffles, blueberry muffins, and hard-boiled eggs, fresh orange) buffet breakfast that was most pleasant because it was so quiet on a Saturday morning (most of the wedding guests probably were still asleep). Hampton Inn is in a shopping center on N Ventu Park Road, just after the turnoff from Highway 101. We enjoyed a good dinner at Holdren's Steaks & Seafood, a short 5 minutes away in the car. We appreciated having never-full free parking, and it was very easy for us to leave the keys in the room and get back on 101 the next morning. The area around our room was quiet during our stay, and we were never bothered by the renovations that were ongoing. We felt that our stay at Hampton Inn Thousand Oaks was an unusually good value, and we recommend it highly.

This is a gem of a hotel. It is clean and staff are professional. It is conveniently located near shopping and eating. The quality and layout of the room (for a king bed) was a notch above the industry standard for this price range. The free breakfast had a large variety of items that also put it at or near the top of what one usually finds in this level of a hotel.

This was a typical Hampton Inn. We stayed in a suite for 7 nights while visiting family in the area. It was spacious. The breakfast was good, there was always fresh fruit. There was oatmeal, which was nice, and always a selection of eggs and sausage of some sort in a chafing dish. They were fine enough, nothing special. The coffee was quite good. Even when it got busy you could always find a table. The exercise room was well equipped with machines, weights, and mats. There is plenty of parking all around the property, so although the building is large you can always park near a door near your room. It was easy on-off the highway, but you could not hear the highway in the room at all. We also did not hear other guests while in our room - despite hearing a screaming baby and laughing teens while walking down the hallway to the room.

I stayed at this property many times and was the first choice when coming to the area. It is located in a prime location off the 101 freeway with a Walgreens, Starbucks, and Walmart grocery store within walking distance.

This property was on the pricier side, was somewhat dated, and the front-desk staff friendly.

I made the reservation May 2022 while there was nothing indicating a parking charge. They have a nice spacious parking lot with overflow parking at the Walmart grocery store next door. I don't see any reason to justify a parking charge, as it was complimentary for at least the past ten years I had stayed there. $10/night was added for each day of the stay without any notice.

I will not be returning to this property and will drive an additional ten minutes to the Hampton Inn in Agoura Hills with FREE parking.
