We only live 45 minutes away, but were there to attend a meeting and decided to make it a romantic getaway. The price was right, the inn is beautiful and the service was gracious, especially Paul the Bellman. The room was elegant and the gas fireplace came in handy. Dinner and breakfast were very good--just wish it had been warm... More

My wife and I stayed at the Mimslyn Inn over a Saturday evening and had a great relaxing time. They pride themselves on their southern hospitality and this showed well through their excellent servce. We arrived at the inn at noon and tried their lunch buffet in the restaurant. It included soup, salads, several entree choices and I visited the... More

The Mimslyn Inn is conveniently located on Main Street which allows you to walk to restaurants and attractions with ease. The Inn itself is beautifully designed coupled with the service and food, this is a perfect place to spend away from home.

I always enjoy The Mimslyn Inn in Luray, Virginia. For a small town it has lots to offer. Beautifully restored and tastefully done. The staff are friendly and professionally dressed. Dinner was lovely and beautifully presented. It is located in the awesome Shenandoah Valley, a little heaven on earth. Convenient to the Luray Caverns, lovely little shops nearby for those... More

We had a similar experience to the reviewer below. When I called to make our reservation and then change it due to bad weather, the ladies on the phone were not friendly, so I was a bit hesitant, but as we arrived the inn looked very welcoming. However, the facade was the best part of our stay. It was a... More

This is the first time in many years that TripAdvisor reviews have led me astray. There was nothing restful or relaxing about our time spent at the Mimslyn Inn. "Luxury Accommodations" is a misnomer here, as it is so often these days. Managing expectations is pretty easy as long as the bar is not set too high from the onset.... More

We used a living social deal that included tickets to luray caverns and wine glasses. Upon arrival I presented my living social voucher and assumed they would give me the additional items that were included in the price but that didnt happen. I had to ask for the tickets and thought that when they gave me those they would give... More

We stayed at The Mimslyn Inn as a quick getaway weekend. The inn is beautiful and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the wine pairing dinner and then had a nice time in the Speakeasy. The live music was very good. Sunday Brunch was amazing! Everything was delicious. We had excellent... More

Hotel was comfortable, quiet, elegant. Staff was very accommodating. Speakeasy restaurant very good, enjoyed live music! Not too much choice for fine dining, although italian restaurant across the street was very good just lacked atmiosphere/ambiance. Nice little country town with great walking path.

The Mimslyn Inn is in a beautiful old building, and the room we stayed in was attractive and huge. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the key cards the front desk gave us don't actually lock or unlock the electronic room door. So the room was unsafe and unlocked each time we left it, until we... More
