If you stay at B&Bs for warm hospitality, unique room decor, welcoming front porches and gardens, and delicious home-cooked breakfasts and treats, you will love Wiley and Hank's B&B. Special attention is paid to dietary needs and sleeping comfort as well as personalized recommendations for hikes, restaurants, markets, wineries and more. We stayed in the spacious upstairs room with bathroom across the hall, and while we initially were concerned about privacy and convenience - we had no need to worry. Definitely a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Over the years, my husband and I have stayed in many bed and breakfast establishments, and this one is definitely one of our favorites! One of the reasons that we love staying at a bed and breakfast, aside from a wonderful meal every morning, is the connection that you make with the innkeepers. Wiley and Hank were just fantastic hosts! It was so wonderful to get to talk to them every day, hear their past stories, and share their experiences and recommendations of things to do in the area. Their home was lovely, very inviting, clean, and comfortable. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a review of the grounds, amenities available to us, and restaurant suggestions in the surrounding areas. They gave us such wonderful advice about hiking, attractions to see, and things to avoid. We had an amazing yet strenuous hike up Old Rag, loved visiting Monticello, the Luray Caverns, the rescue zoo, and we were just amazed at the Birdsong Pleasure Garden! We had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Broadcloth, fabulous pizza at RPK (and a great little gourmet shop next door), and great burgers at ?? (can’t remember the name). The bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and clean, and it's always wonderful having the coffee maker and the mini fridge, as well as the fresh baked goods and surprise weekly dessert lovingly made by Hank. The breakfast was exceptional! Homemade, fresh, creative, and simply delectable! They were so accommodating, and you could tell they put a lot of time and effort into their guests’ comfort and enjoyment during their stay. The porch was absolutely my favorite place with the rocking chairs and the magnificent view in the evening! I have nothing to complain about during this stay, we would definitely return in the future, and I recommend this charming and wonderful B&B to anyone visiting the Luray area. Thank you to Wiley and Hank! You made our stay so special and memorable, (: Eve and Daniel Packel

Hank and Wiley have created a fantastic bed & breakfast experience in the heart of the gorgeous Shenandoah Valley. From the second you arrive and are welcomed inside their beautifully-decorated home, you understand why their reviews are so spectacular. They take the time to get to know you and explain the ins & outs of their property and the surrounding area so you know where to eat, where to explore, and where to go have fun! They have operated the B&B for over 20 years and are very knowledgable about the nearby area. Plus, the breakfasts are very tasty. We had a great time and would definitely recommend!

I can't say enough good things about Hank & Wiley and their homey B&B. We are repeat customers and now that we live a bit closer, we will visit more often. The breakfasts are divine. The care taken and the warmth of the owners is like coming home to visit friends you really like. Each visit is consistently terrific.

Rosebud Cottage is beautiful. So well appointed! The front porch is heavenly for breakfast; afternoon reading; and cocktails. This mountain air is fresh and sweet. The bed is extremely comfortable, the morning coffee perfect, the breakfasts varied and delicious, the hosts very gracious. We had nice hikes in the Shenandoah and just loved coming back to piney hill each afternoon. thank you Hank and Wiley!!!!

GREAT hospitality...AMAZING views of the Shenandoah Mountains and the surrounding farmlands. GREAT hosts...SUPER clean and YUMMY breakfasts. We spent 2 nights in the Rosebud Cottage over the Memorial Day weekend. Our cottage was SUPER clean upon arrival. Hank & Wiley had the cottage prep and stocked with supplies in our kitchenette to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We were able to watch the cows grazing and mooing outside our cottage on our porch when we had our morning coffees. It's SO peaceful and serene that one needs to see it to believe it. With such serenity...no one would think that Piney Hill Bed & Breakfast is ONLY 10 mins away from downtown Luray. Thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful home with us. Not forgetting our YUMMY Memorial Day cakes specially delivered to our cottage...such a WONDERFUL surprise! Stephie & Kevin NYC

Celebrated my 65th birthday with a first time visit to the Shenandoah Valley. What good fortune to have found Piney Hill B&B as I tried to hone in on where to stay! We stayed at the oh-so-lovely Hurley Byrd Cottage, warm and inviting, sweet and cozy, with beautiful views of pastures and Massanutten Mountain. Delicious, gourmet breakfasts delivered in a wicker basket (blueberry scones warm from the oven were heavenly), sweet treats in the afternoon (including yummy slices of cake on my birthday), congenial hosts Hank and Wiley outdid themselves. Great tips on Blue Ridge hikes and local restaurants, there is nothing that the two of them haven’t thought of to make sure their guests have a first-class stay.

I decided super last minute to book a getaway this past weekend for my husband’s birthday. I just wanted to try something we had never done before. So I decided to surprise him with a B&B experience. I chose Piney Hill out of availability and what was near to the caverns. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a birthday package that included a cake, wine glasses, tickets to Luray Caverns for two. We checked in and we’re greeted by Hank (he’s a hoot) he showed us around, gave us a ton of detail about the area and things to do. We got to our room (Emma Ruffner Rogers) it was quaint and cozy. Breakfast was amazing both days, Wiley and Hank are so kind and sweet and made our stay amazing. We went to the gift shop on site before we left and they have so many cool things available. I highly recommend this gem and we will return.

Since the beginning our hosts were nothing but courteous and accommodating. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and clean with everything needed for a perfect stay. We had a lovely family time. The area is close to main attractions but ideally situated in a calm and quiet area. Will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended… Oh, the breakfast and goodies were so delicious!
