Warm, comforting home. The Hosts were amazing and made us feel like family. We signed up for the additional German breakfast package. Can't go wrong. Full European breakfast. They even had some Swedish jam and it reminded me of being with my cousins in Sweden. Great stop for Couples!
My wife and I stayed at the South Court Inn a few years ago and wanted to return for a relaxing 4 day stay. We were pleased to visit again and have the chance to unwind. The constant at the Inn is the great service and breakfasts. The upgraded bathroom was very nice. Adelheid and Mike are great Innkeepers.
This is one of the best bed-and-breakfast we have ever stayed at! The owners gave a special touch and everything at this bed-and-breakfast! Glass of wine upon arrival, drinks and snacks in the sunroom, Beautiful big bedrooms with refrigerated fill with drinks a basket filled with snacks! My favorite a coffee tray every morning at 7:30 AM And Big breakfast at 9 AM! There was also individual some more packs for the fire pit and back of the bed and breakfast! Never seen a bed and breakfast I had so much attention to detail! So friendly and kind! I would definitely stay here again! Luray, Virginia is beautiful! We went to wineries breweries Distilleries, and also the Luray Caverns was the highlight! Definitely one of the nicest bed-and-breakfast we have ever stayed at I would highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast!…
This beautiful Victorian with its peaceful setting just off the main part of Luray is instantly inviting. True elegance awaited as we entered this striking home. Adelheid and Mike remembered every detail when treating guests to a great welcome. Wine, chocolates, stocked mini-refrig and that special European "calm" settled us into our immaculately clean bedroom. The gorgeous bathroom with ultra updates made the walk-in shower extra safe and enjoyable. The treats didn't stop as we explored the lovely decorated common rooms open to all quests 24/7 with snacks and beverages. Walking through these rooms is like going on a treasure hunt with treats in bowls tucked away here and there. Breakfasts are beyond memorable from the presentation to the place settings to the various delectable courses. Beware, it's so good and so plentiful, we never had room for lunch which was great because we had more time for exploring this amazing, historic area. As experienced B&B travelers, we definitely will return to South Court Inn!…
We had an amazing awesome time staying with South Court . The amazing breakfasts were an added bonus to a place that felt like home. Definitely would be staying here again the next time we visit. Get there before 8 on check in for the free glass of wine.
We stayed in the cottage associated with this Inn, which offered many positive features. The interior of the cottage was very clean. The woman who owns and manages the property was friendly and accommodating. Sweet treats appeared throughout the cottage. The kitchen was reasonably well stocked. The main drawbacks were that the bedroom is upstairs, while the bathroom is downstairs. The connecting stairway is somewhat cramped. This may be of no consequence to younger guests. But for the 60+ crowd this should be given serious consideration. Also, the bathroom is so small that the shower was separated from the rest of the room by only a shower curtain. Bathroom supplies required a special request. There is no temperature control available to guests, although when we called the manager about this, she was able to change the thermostatic setting.…
We loved our 3-night stay here while visiting Shenandoah National Park! Mike and Adelheid were amazing hosts. It is clear they put a ton of love into the B&B and do all they can to make your stay great. And ours was! We loved the breakfasts every morning that Adelheid makes. They were truly the best meals of our trip. We also loved waking up in the morning to a tray of coffee and tea, and a little cookie or biscuit. There are thoughtful touches everywhere from all the homemade treats placed around the B&B, the large collection of DVDs and the postcards with Adelheid's recipes on them. We stayed in the West room and it was very comfortable. The heated floors and modern bathroom were nice upgrades in the room as well. You could walk to the main street of town from the B&B if you wanted; we drove because it was a bit cold to walk and didn't have any issues with parking. Luray is a small town but everyone we encountered was friendly and it made a great base for visiting Shenandoah.…
Such a quaint and relaxing Inn . Very friendly and accommodating. Make sure you don’t miss the free breakfast. The food was amazing. The old Victoria. Home was beautiful and very well kept. There is always frsesh homemade snacks. Couldn’t ask for a more relaxing place to stay.
We were so thrilled with our stay at South Court Inn, so many reasons. First, the innkeepers made us feel right at home in their home, and we felt comfortable sitting around in the house during the day. All the extras that you get at all B&Bs made our stay that much better. Adelheid is a wonderful cook, baker and candy maker! Her special treats can be found all over the house. The multi-course breakfasts were beyond delicious, but I was always looking forward to the special desserts she leaves for the guests each night in the coffee/tea room! (So lucky that we were there for her German Plum Cake!) And having coffee and a biscuit or chocolate delivered at our door each morning at 7:30am was such a welcome treat as I got out of the shower. And speaking of the shower, the bathroom was very nicely upgraded to a modern, sleek room with radiant headed floors. We were tempted to lay down on them. We stayed for 4 nights while spending a vacation in the Shenandoah NP area, and the location was perfect for visiting some great hiking areas in the park. Luray is a small town, but we were able to take off walking from the Inn many days to hit some local restaurants and the Hawksbill Brewery. All within a short walking distance. We hope to make our way back to the area and South Court Inn someday!…
The South Court Inn in Luray, VA is the most impressive and impeccably clean B & B with superb hospitality we have ever stayed at. Adelheid and Mike are attentive, down to earth and honest inn keepers. The well being of their guests is their highest priority. Adelheid is also a fantastic cook. The breakfasts are so impressively delicious and her homemade pastries are out of this world. Her special touches from a welcoming glass of wine to wrapped candies, recipe cards, unlimited coffee, tea and cider and not to mention a stocked refrigerator of beverages and snacks. The North room (spacious ground floor) was splendid and beautifully decorated with two very comfortable recliners, a Victorian style chair and a very comfy king size bed with canopy. A new beautiful bathroom with a zero entry shower and a built in corner seat was heaven. The wrap around porch decorated with autumn décor provided a warm and cozy setting with multiple comfortable padded seats with tables. Thanks again to you both for a splendid stay and your efforts are well recognized. Bob & Lisa…
