This clean, beautiful and historic b&b was even better than I imagined! Breakfast was delicious and we had multiple dietary restrictions that they navigated with ease. During breakfast, the owner Bryce gave us great advice every day on activities we could do during our stay. We loved the bonfire and s’mores, the surprise treat for our anniversary and the beautiful view. I will be recommending this b&b to all my family and friends.
My husband and I were in the Shenandoah room for three nights in May, 2022. Hugh the Innkeeper warmly welcomed us and was so very gracious to our early checkout needs at the end of our stay. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with outstanding views across the valley.
Bryce and Hugh were great! We had booked about a year ago and they came through with flying colors. It was clean, well furnished and comfortable beds. The house and cottage fit everyone on the brides side. The outdoor areas are perfect and views of the city and valley. Many thanks for an awesome experience!
Clean, attractive, comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and homemade. Bed comfortable and location was way to get to with plenty of space for parking. Hospitable host who made you feel welcome and was attentive to your comfort. Recommend.
We found this property listed on the Luray VA Chamber of Commerce website. After reading reviews (on Tripadvisor of course) we booked two nights in late October hoping to visit Shenandoah NP at peak fall color. We were not disappointed...the property was easy to find, clean and comfortable, with many amenities available. We did take advantage of the outdoor hot tub to unwind after a day on the trails. The Innkeeper Hugh was an excellent host, he gave us a complete and informative tour of the home upon arrival, in addition to preparing a delicious breakfast served promptly at 9am each morning. Discount offered to members of U.S. Military Branches (Active,Retired,Veteran) with proper ID
My boyfriend and I came to stay at Mayneview towards the beginning of November. Everything surpassed my expectations from the spectacular views, cute rooms, amazing hospitality and delicious breakfasts! We will definitely be coming back and recommending this B&B to friends and family. We enjoyed coming in fall as we were able to quickly drive to Shenandoah national park to view the beautiful changing of the leaves. Highly highly recommend this B&B!!!
We intended to spend 2 nights in Shenandoah NP camping but snow flurries and cold temps caused a change in plans….We came upon Mayneview B@B by chance and what a wonderful surprise! This was definitely a 5 star stay! Hugh, the Innkeeper, offered generous hospitality from breakfast (steak and eggs) at the fire with music to s’mores at night….we sat at breakfast talking with other guests for almost 2 hours….and Hugh kept the coffee coming! The view of Luray and the mountain from high on the hill are impeccable….We enjoyed the hot tub with wine from our winery visits under the stars overlooking the city…. Our 3rd floor room was spacious, clean and comfortable with every imaginable amenity including a jacuzzi tub…. We will definitely return when we are in the area….be sure to ask for Hugh……
We stayed here for a few nights recently and were just in awe of the property, the hosts, the food being homemade each morning, the views, decor, everything! It was so close to town, but yet up on the hill, just far enough away. We loved the hot tub under the stars and having the fire pit right there to add even more ambiance. We can’t wait to come back!
In Luray to visit Shenandoah National Park. Stayed in the Overlook room which was perfect . Comfy bed and pillows and nice views of the mountains. Loved that the mansion was likely used in the 1800’s as part of the Underground Railroad. I appreciated that Hugh went to extra effort to make an allergen-free breakfast for me. Had to leave early on departure day and Hugh was there with a hot and delicious packed breakfast. Lots of love and work go into maintaining this place and making guests feel special.
We enjoyed every aspect of this weekend stay at the Mayneview B&B. From the accommodations, to the amenities on-site, to the delicious breakfast that changed daily, to the proximity to Shenandoah National Park, we’ve had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable stay here. Hugh is a talented and gracious host. The morning views on the porch were peaceful, the evenings around the fire pit roasting s’mores were fun. What made it even more spectacular was the amazing weather we had during our stay. It was everything we were looking for on this trip and more.
