Just had an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC two-night stay with my teenage daughter. We were going to a Sunday afternoon Sabres game and could not have made a better choice. The service, across the board, was outstanding. The front-desk folks were friendly, helpful and thorough. The valet parking guys were friendly and efficient. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a 15th-floor lake view junior suite and I cannot say enough good things about the accommodations. Modern, clean, comfortable and spectacular views. This was more like a modern Ritz. The noise levels were a bit annoying but this was a busy weekend with hockey and lacrosse games and tournaments. That said, it’s super-convenient to walk over to Key Bank Center, especially in frigid weather. We also enjoyed the easy access to the Southern Tier Brewing Company and the Tim Hortons. Overall, a phenomenal stay and we will be back. (Finally, a confession: I’m a Hilton Diamond and almost exclusively book Hilton properties. This experience has me thinking differently.)…
I made the reservation at this place using points. I am a platinum elite. We arrived past midnight. The person at the reception did not recognize my elite status - worse, she kept insisting that I'm not an elite member. I made the reservation directly from my Marriott Bonvoy account. After showing her my status on my computer, she tells me that Marriott sent a different Bonvoy number :). The number was re entered in the system. The hotel itself is nice. The lounge has a decent breakfast (nice nespresso machine). There's not much around the hotel, and you may have to drive a bit for restaurants etc. If you are planning to work in the room, be aware there's not a proper desk and chair. Its a sofa with a low table that gets uncomfortable if you plan to spend a few hours working. I asked for a late checkout, and was told I can't get a late checkout as the hotel is booked solid. Upon further conversation, once the person at the reception understood I have elite status, a late checkout became ok :). My credit card was charged for parking, and no bill was sent to my email address, or to my Bonvoy account. Some training might help here. …
Staff was great and gave us recommendations for food spots and attractions. Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfy. Parking was reasonable and it was relatively easy to drive to. Not much within walking distance but Buffalo is a little more spread out.
Wonderful stay at Marriot LECOM Rooms were so nice, view is spectacular. Service is top notch. Brittany has received us with big smile and was very welcoming. It was a very quick check in, and helped me to be a Bonvoy member. I just mentioned that we are celebrating our anniversary. Brittany said, we will have something special for you. After I attended the concert in Key Centre, we returned to the room to be surprised with a very nice bottle of champagne and an excellent dessert. Thanks Brittany for that. The overall experience was excellent. Definitely a marked spot on my map.
We just stayed here 3 nights while visiting the area and attending the Bills vs. Steelers game. Overall our stay was amazing!!! However, it could’ve been better if the Steelers won lol. When we checked in, Meghan at the front desk gave us the warmest welcome and handed us the keys to our room up on the 19th floor. The room overall was incredible, the view was stunning. To our surprise we were assigned the same exact room we’ve stayed in the past few stays at this hotel. (Room 1906) The only complaint I have about this hotel are the beds, (as I’ve mentioned before in previous reviews) are extremely firm. However, I slept pretty well all of the nights we were there. We had breakfast in the M Club every morning, the food was well stocked and super good. Overall the service here was amazing, every staff member I encountered including valet, front desk, and the restaurant staff were extremely friendly!! Would we stay here again? The answer is an easy yes!! This is our go-to hotel in Buffalo. The location is amazing, the service is great, and this place is immaculate! It’s definitely one of the cleanest Marriotts we’ve ever stayed in. There are no hidden smells or odors in any part of the hotel. It is super allergy friendly!!!…
Quality hotel and if you get the right room there are beautiful views of the harbor. We were upgraded to a suite and the room and views were wonderful. Concierge club was good with a decent variety of breakfast options. No housekeeping service unless requested - that’s a bit disappointing. Overall great stay and would recommend!
I made a reservation for a room with a king bed months in advance. Upon arrival, we were "greeted" by the rude staff. The check-in process was fast, but we were not told that we were downgraded to a room with 2 queen beds. Upon entering the room, I called the front desk and was met with further rudeness and told it was not possible as all their king rooms were taken. Apparently they do not understand the concept of a reservation. The rooms looked modern, and other than the small size, they were fine. The fridge was warm and had no temperature controls, however.
From the Amazing Valet/Bellhop staff you encounter at your arrival, to the check-in, and the friendly fabulous restaurant & Mclub staff I recommend picking this hotel … then there is the view of the canal & amenities in walking distance for a fun trip. This hotel puts you in the center of the city where you can stroll the canal, Buf it the naval park, walk to numerous breweries, see a game at Sahlens field, key bank arena events & so on
Our stay at this Marriott property was excellent. From check in, which is on the seventh floor, to our room facing the harbor and Lake, to our experience with the conference facilities and the bar, everything was positive. When we first arrived we, the two of us, we’re given a room with two queen beds. We went back and asked for a king and we’re giving it no questions asked. We were also on a higher floor facing the water. The windows take up almost the whole wall so the view is well worth it! The bed was super comfortable, water pressure was great in the shower and there were all the amenities you would expect in a good hotel room. The only drawback would be perhaps that it’s about a mile into the downtown area. But if that’s not your priority then it doesn’t really matter as the water views are a great trade-off. The restaurant and bar here or on the seventh floor and have a wonderful view. The cocktails coming out of their bar are really amazing. This is one thing Marriotts tend to always do really well. The food and drink prepared for our conference meals were also above average. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. There is also a southern tier brewing company and Tim Hortons on the property. I would definitely stay here again.…
My family and I stayed at this property during our trip to Buffalo/Niagara Falls at the end of July 2022. As always, let's go Pros and Cons. PROS 1. The customer service delivered by everyone who worked at this property - valet parking, front desk, cleaning staff - was outstanding. All of the team members were pleasant, patient in answering all of our questions, and offered good suggestions regarding Buffalo and Niagara Falls. 2. The property is located right off of I-190, the main highway in and through downtown Buffalo. From inside of my room, I didn't experience the road noise issue that others mentioned either from I-190 or the Buffalo Skyway.. 3. We had a harbor/lake view room on the 16th floor and the view was great. We enjoyed seeing all of the boats and rowers on Lake Erie, the view of Canada across the lake, and the road traffic on I-190 and the Buffalo Skyway..It was very relaxing. 4. All of us said the same thing - these might have been some of the most comfortable hotel beds we've experienced. It felt like they were memory foam beds and it made for several nights of good sleeping. 5. The television guide included many more channels than what I'm used to seeing in a hotel. It was a pleasant surprise to see so many options. 6. The valet parking staff were on point for our entire stay. They were fast in retrieving our vehicle and willing to park it in front of the hotel entrance when we had to make just a quick stop to our room before returning to our vehicle. CONS 1. You won't find too many restaurants within a short walk of the hotel. You'll have to walk about 10 minutes north to find a variety of good options. OVERALL: If and when we return to visit The Falls, we will definitely plan to stay here again! Kudos to the entire team for making us feel at home. .…
