These B&B hosts were down to earth folks Location was the best; near the mansions but close enough [5 min] to downtown. Breakfast was gourmet. The B&B is a mansion with fine details and very relaxing. Front porch was a place for some wine and a snooze. The room we stayed in{Victoria} was second floor with rear view of landscaping....

This was the 2nd time my husband and I stayed at the Ivy Lodge. We returned there because we found it to be very cozy and inviting. Darlene and Daryl, the innkeepers, were wonderful hosts! We enjoyed visiting and getting to know Darlene while relaxing on the wrap around porch. The entire staff was personable and helpful. The breakfasts they...

We only stayed at the Ivy Lodge for one night but it was all we needed to give it a 5* review. It's a very picturesque inn in a great location. Daryl and Darlene were very welcoming and gave some excellent advice regarding local attractions and places to eat. Our room (the Van Allen) was lovely and breakfast the following...

I checked into a "one-each" hotel in Newport for a business meeting, then realized that there were a number of B&Bs in town. After an internet search, I checked out of the hotel and into Ivy Lodge. What a great choice! Uniquely furnished room, whirlpool tub, wonderful breakfasts, great (quiet) neighborhood, walking distance to the mansions and Cliff Walk, friendly...

My husband and I stayed at the Ivy Logde for a quiet get away weekend. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. We needed a late check in and Daryl and Darlene were very accommodating. The entire Inn was decorated beautifully and the rooms were very cozy and extremely clean. Daryl and Darlene have created a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere....

Great B&B right off the main drag where you find all the big mansions. We walked everywhere, even though we had a car. Easy to get to Cliff walk, restaurants, town, mansions. We stayed in the family suite which had a gas fireplace, king (I think) sized bed, and another small bedroom with daybed and trundle bed where we put...

My wife and I had an awesome time in Newport and mainly it was because of the convenience of staying at the Ivy Lodge. The owners were extremely helpful from the moment we stepped in the door. The Ivy Lodge was located very close to the Mansions so all we had to do was walk out of the lodge and...

We enjoyed our brief stay. The Innkeeper and staff were great. The location is close to the mansions and a short walk to the 40 steps. The one not so great item was that in our particular room, the closet was in the bathroom.

This was our 2nd trip to the Ivy Lodge, and we've already booked our 3rd visit. We drove 6 hours in heavy traffic and were tired and "frazzled" when we arrived, but the moment we walked through the doors, we were relaxed. The inn is so incredibly beautiful, is tastefully decorated in a calming and elegant decor, and is kept...

Great B&B right in the middle of Newport. We were able to walk to all the Mansions that were opened with the farthest being a 30 minute or so walk. We visited off-season so it was pretty much half the cost and worth it. At this time of year you have to get lucky with the weather but if you...
