Since we’re not in the same league as the Vanderbilts, we chose this place for it’s cost-effectiveness. Located on the edge of Newport, about 2 miles from the “action”, the Pineapple looks very 1950’s. We were able to check in early because the cleaning ladies...More
Unless you have a car, it's very far from the center of town. Not within walking distance. However, there is a bus stop 3 minutes walk away. It's a $2 ride to the Visitor Information Center in the center of town. First bus into town...More
We stayed here two nights while visiting Newport and its mansions. The room was very clean and had a refrigerator and microwave which was nice. The room we had was very quiet. The motel is located a short driving distance from the restaurants. The only...More

The website is a bit convincing that it is a decent place in spite of the affordable price. I realize the season just started and the place may have a few issues, but i need to know if it is dirty. Lived in and quaint is fine, but dirty and or moldy i cannot handle. Please let me know what i will be getting into if i book this place. Otherwise It looks perfect for what we want to do for a short stay. Thank you. Donna
