My husband and I stayed at Canfield House after going to the jazz festival. Prices in town were really high that weekend. I booked it on Priceline and they called it a hidden gem. I totally agree. Although it is primarily a restaurant and pub, Canfield House has four rooms for overnight guests. Our queen size room was lovely and...

We checked in at the restaurant desk, seeing as there was no reception area and we waited for about 5 minutes while a large function was clearing out. A must try!!! The Canfield House has a few rooms upstairs but by all means go to the restaurant for the FOOD and the ambience. This former casino in the 1800's is a classy place for a romantic meal. The spinach salad with soaked pears and bacon vinaigrette was mouth watering, spicy crabcakes had a chipolte sauce, delicious RI style...
