We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Bayberry Inn in historic Newport. Friendly and helpful innkeeper and staff. Quaint and cozy rooms, delicious breakfast each morning. The bathroom in our room could use an update as the toilet, shower and sink are quite old. Lovely front porch with a chair swing to enjoy a glass a wine after a...

This place is great. Stayed here for the Winter Festival in 2012 (February) with my boyfriend. We were in the Newport Room and it was perfect (very nice fireplace!). The room was bright, clean, nicely furnished, tall ceiling, and with a conveniently located bathroom (it's almost like a suite where there's a front foyer that leads you to either the...

I stayed here in Sept 2012. Very nice place with an elegant old-world civilised vibe. Wendy the manager was lovely to deal with and extremely helpful. She's also a great cook and as others have noted, the freshly baked cookies/brownies really hit the spot when you return exhausted in the late afternoon. She even gave me a couple of rather...

Stumbled across the Inn midweek while visiting town and decided to spend night. Nice front porch, inviting room, and calming vibe all around. Convenient location-close to things but quiet. Yummy(!) cookies in the afternoon and a tasty hearty breakfast! Wendy was very helpful and accomodating. Looking forward to another stay next year!

My wife and I had a few days without the kids so we decided to go to Newport. Booked our room online and it was exactly as described. The inn is very quaint with a nice big front porch with a swing. We had a very pleasant stay and Wendy the innkeeper was very friendly. Breakfast each morning was delicious....

Wendy (Innkeeper) was very accommodating and warm. Breakfast was very good, but a 2nd or 3rd choice would have been nice. The room was well maintained and the afternoon tea and cookies were a nice treat after a long day at the beach or walking around town. We would likely stay again, but not for the price we paid. We...

The Bayberry Inn was an attactive B&B. We spent two nights in the Honeymoom Room which was lovely and spacious. Wendy, the manager was friendly and helpful. Good location, quiet but not to far to walk into the hustle and bustle. We would reccommend The Bayberry Inn to family and friends.

My mother and I spent four nights at the Bayberry, which I chose because of the location, amenities, attractiveness of the house and rooms. Comparing to other b&bs in Newport, the price for the room was excellent (since rooms are not cheap if you want some quality). It was located on a residential street, away from the hustle, but close...

Booked a room online for what turned out to be $70 higher than their highest posted price. When we arrived we were showed such a room but told it was not available. Instead we were given a room on the first floor and checked in for a lessor amount signing the check in forms for that amount. The next day...

Management response:

Very sorry to see this review posted and take issue with the perceptions of the guest. The specific room reserved was provided as booked online through the third-party agent. The Innkeeper went above and beyond providing breakfast service to the Bayberry Suite at the request of the guest whom conveyed the highest compliments during their stay. It is beyond our...

We spent 2 nights in the Newport Room. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to see the place was as nice as the online pictures. The location is ideal - close enough to walk everywhere. The Innkeeper was very hospitable, and the breakfast was wonderful! We will recommend the Bayberry Inn to friends and family.
