We have been repeat visitors to the Almondy Inn over the past six or so years and have been very pleased with each of our stays. it's a wonderful, comfy, and homey place with a great location for any Newport activities. This past February, the longtime innkeepers Evelyne & Herber Valkenberg sold the property to spend more time with their...

First an admission: if you relish the 'personal touch' of a B&B where the owner is in residence, the Almondy Inn isn't for you. But if you like the charm of a B&B without the owner hovering about, this is the perfect place. Centrally located - with in walking distance of most attractions. Nice continental breakfast. Comfortable, antique-furnished rooms. And...

The Almondy Inn is centrally located and walkable to all of the main Newport attractions. It is a lovely old home, pristinely kept. We stayed in the Blue Bay room, which was lovely. The highlight was a big, beautiful jacuzzi bathtub - fabulous. After reading many reviews here lauding the personalized experience of staying at the Almondy Inn, I did...

My husband and I just came back from a long weekend at the Almondy Inn. The Inn is easy to find and centrally located to all the shops and restaurants of Newport, which makes it ideal for walks out and about. We stayed in the Burgundy Suite which was very spacious and very clean. The bedroom had an awesome window...

We were looking for a new place to stay in Newport that had a water view, reasonably priced, and convenient to the harbor area. The Almondy Inn was that and more. The staff could not be more friendly or competent. The entire premises was spotless and comfortable. We will be returning for sure!

We made our reservation at the end of 2015 and were not informed that the inn was sold in February 2016. The gourmet breakfast pictured on their website no longer existed, although they gave us $10 vouchers to eat at a nearby restaurant. We did not know that there was a bar/club on the corner that played very loud live...

We absolutely loved this B&B. It was a perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. It included parking which can add up in this area. The staff were friendly. We loved the happy hour wine and cheese from 5-6pm. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Sunset Room. The fireplace was fantastic but we lucked out...

The place is lovely, however being next door to a bar/night club that plays music till 1:00 am that you cannot only hear but also feel. And then they go through their recycling at 7:00 am. Got no rest at all. They did however offer ear plugs. I wish someone would have posted something about this noise so be careful...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Almondy Inn in mid December 2015. My boyfriend planned a romantic, 3 day stay and this Inn is fantastic. Evelyn, the owner, was a wonderful hostess and truly helped make this "surprise" marital engagement by my now fiance something we both will remember fondly for the rest of our lives. The gourmet...
